- Function
• Conduct a comprehensive, section-by-section review of the Building Code, with particular emphasis on the twelve (12) main parts. The Short Term Advisory Body may also undertake review of adjacent parts of the Building Code, including Applicable Law, should it be necessary to inform technical recommendations.
• Develop a set of comprehensive, evidence-based recommendations on reducing construction related regulatory burden while maintaining health, safety, accessibility and integrity.
• Consider alignment with the National Construction Codes and Ontario’s obligations under the Construction Codes Reconciliation Agreement and assess opportunities for further harmonization only where it reduces burden or costs.
• A draft Terms of Reference has been developed to provide structure to the review and ensure key deliverables are met (Appendix 1).- Membership
The Minister of Municipal Affairs and Housing determines the number of members to be appointed and will designate one of the members as chair and with a maxmimum of 6 additional appointees as Members. 1 Chair, 6 Members

Chair = $700/Day Total = $53,200 (76 x $700); Members = $625/Day per member = $39,375 (63 x $625), Total = $236,250
