ANDREW MACLEOD

Mr. Andrew MacLeod was appointed Postmedia's President and Chief Executive officer in January 2019. He joined Postmedia in 2014 as EVP and Chief Commercial Officer and was appointed President and Chief Operating Officer in 2017. Mr. MacLeod also currently serves as a director on the boards for Waterfront Toronto and Communitech. Prior to joining Postmedia Mr. MacLeod held several senior executive positions, most recently as Senior Vice President & Regional Managing Director, North America at Blackberry.

GADI MAYMAN

Gadi Mayman is the CEO of Ontario’s Financing Authority (OFA) overseeing the province’s borrowing and debt management strategy, corporate and electricity finance projects, and its banking and capital marketing relationships. He is CEO and Vice-Chair of the Ontario Electricity Financial Corporation. Mayman also is on the boards of Infrastructure Ontario and Invest Ontario and is co-chair of the Joint Nuclear Funds Investment Committee, a joint Committee of the OFA and Ontario Power Generation.

ANNA BARRETT

Anna Barrett is an experienced chartered accountant and financial valuator. As a partner at Marmer Penner Inc., Barrett advises on a diverse range of litigation support including business and securities valuation, income tax matters, damages quantification, business interruption, expropriation and forensic accounting. Barrett achieved the silver medal in the Chartered Business Valuator exam and has been invited to lecture on a variety of topics hosted by the Canadian Institute of Chartered Business Valuators, the Ontario Bar Association and various regional family law associations.

ANDREW MACLEOD

Andrew MacLeod has served in various progressive leadership roles at PostMedia, including Executive Vice President, Chief Commercial Officer, Chief Operating Officer and is the current President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Postmedia, MacLeod held a number of senior executive positions, most recently as Senior Vice President and Regional Managing Director in North America for Blackberry. MacLeod is currently a Director for Waterfront Toronto and Communitech.

CARMINE NIGRO

Carmine Nigro is the President & CEO of CRAFT Development Corporation, a multijurisdictional development company in retail, office and residential projects. Mr. Nigro has over 35 years of construction and real estate development experience including acquisitions, construction management and urban planning, and has been involved in projects across southern Ontario, Pennsylvania and Florida. His expertise in urban development and project planning has played a large role in the reposition of CRAFT Development Corporation. In addition to his work at CRAFT, Carmine has been a volunteer of Children’s Make a Wish since 2008, Board of Directors for Friends of the Orphans Canada organization for over 18 years, Chairman of Board of Directors for the LCBO since 2019, Board of Directors for Runnymede Health Centre since 2020 and on the Senate of Canadian Military Regiment, The Queens Own Rifles since 2021.

CAROLYNE WATTS

Carolyne Watts, of St. Catharines, is former Plant Executive Director of St. Catharines Propulsion, General Motors, former President of CAMI Automotive Ingersoll, General Motors, former Plant Executive Director of Saginaw Metal Casting, General Motors, and a former Plant Director, Plant Assistant Director, and Engineering Manager with General Motors. Her community involvement has included serving as Chair of Niagara College Board of Governors.

KAREN SPARKS

Karen Sparks is a graduate with honours from Carleton University. She is the founder and Executive Director at Wesley Clover Parks, a not for profit outdoor recreational hub in Ottawa, Canada. Karen was also a founding member of Wesley Clover Foundation which directs funds to local causes within the Nation’s Capital. A busy mother of four, Karen still finds time to compete as an elite equestrian athlete. She founded and organizes equestrian tournaments at Wesley Clover Parks bringing a much needed equestrian venue to Ontario. Karen sits as a director at Brooksteet Hotel, KRP Properties, and currently chairs the Jumping Committee for Equestrian Canada. She was recently chair of the board of the Queensway Carleton Hospital Foundation and continues to remain as an ambassador for the hospital.

ERNIE EVES

Ernie Eves currently serves as an arbitrator, mediator and investigator with ADR Chambers and YorkStreet Dispute Resolution Group. Eves has both private and public sector expertise. As an arbitrator, Eves specializes in commercial matters and securities and has advised domestic and international clients on investment banking, equities and fixed income matters. Eves had an established 24-year career in the public sector, serving as Ontario’s Deputy Premier, Finance Minister and 23rd Premier of the province. Eves has served as Chair of the Ontario Olympic Sports and Waterfront Development Agency and the Ontario Investment and Trade Advisory Council.

JOSEPH MANCINELLI

Joseph S. Mancinelli currently serves as international Vice President and Central and Eastern Canada Regional Manager of the Labourers’ International Union of North America (LiUNA) representing over 140,000 members across the country. Mancinelli has successfully sought out investments that provide long-term rates of return while managing risk through diversification strategies demonstrating strong revenues for the LiUNA Pension Fund and the Public Private Partnership.

GODYNE SIBAY

Godyne Sibay is Senior Strategic Advisor for McCarthy Tétrault LLP, focused on three areas: business development, talent development and firm growth initiatives, working with other leaders at the firm. Previously, she was Regional Managing Partner (Ontario), a Senior Partner of the Real Property and Planning, Projects and Infrastructure Groups and a former member of the Board of Partners. With almost 40 years of experience at McCarthy Tétrault LLP, Godyne has played a leading role in the firm’s delivery of legal and business solutions drawing upon the firm’s capacity, expertise, industry experience, scale and diversity of talent. She is a trusted advisor and her experience in project development, public-private partnerships, procurement, commercial real estate, leasing, M&A and construction has allowed her to take a leadership role in an array of projects that contribute to and strengthen our cities and communities.

JENNIFER MAKI

Jennifer Maki is a Corporate Director and is a member of the Board of Directors of Franco Nevada Corporation (“FNV”), Pan American Silver Corporation (“PAAS”), Baytex Energy Corp. (“BTE”) and Mitsui & Co. (Canada) Ltd. She chairs the Audit Committee at FNV, PAAS and BTE, and is a member of Human Resources and Compensation Committee at BTE and the Communities & Sustainable Development Committee at PAASJennifer was an Executive Director at Vale SA - Base Metals and CEO of Vale Canada from 2014 to 2017. Leading the nickel and copper operations in Canada, Brazil, Indonesia, New Caledonia, Japan, and the United Kingdom. Prior to that, she spent seven years as the Chief Financial Officer, Vale Base Metals. Prior to joining Inco Limited (now Vale Base Metals) in 2003, Jennifer spent ten years at PriceWaterhouseCoopers LLP working predominantly in their mining group. Jennifer is a CA, CPA and holds the ICD.D designation. She is a graduate of Queen’s University – Commerce.

BROCK DICKINSON

Brock Dickinson is the Director of the Economic Development Program at the University of Waterloo. He was previously the CEO of MDB Insight, Canada’s largest specialist economic development consultancy, where he helped communities across North America pursue investment attraction and job creation opportunities. In 2010, MDB was named to Profit Magazine’s “Hot 50” list of Canada’s fastest growing startups. Before entering the private sector, Brock was Director of ICT & Advanced Manufacturing for the Toronto Region Research Alliance, Director of Economic Development for the City of St. Catharines, and Executive Director of the Western Valley Development Authority in Nova Scotia. He spent six years with the United Nations, working in more than 30 countries. In 1995, he was named Secretary-General of a UN development conference, the youngest Secretary-General in UN history. A popular public speaker, Brock has a BA from the University of North Carolina and an MA from Brock University.

PATRICK HORGAN

Pat worked at IBM for 35 years. His career saw many transitions in the IT industry and within IBM and he was instrumental in leading many transformations both in Canada and Globally. In Pat’s final Chief Operations Officer role, he led a wide range of business operations for IBM Canada. As head of Innovation, he led IBM Canada’s SW Lab and IBM Microelectronics Plant in Bromont, Quebec - both the largest of their kinds in the country. Pat was the Chair of the IBM Canada Board. He participated on many external Boards, including being 2013’s Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce, also on the board of the Ontario Brain Institute, the Aboriginal Business Council and Social Science & Humanities Research Council. He is presently Past Chair of the Board of the Southlake Regional Health Centre. From 2019 to 2022 he was Adjunct Professor at Western University advising on AI and its implications to the Engineering and Business faculties. Pat is an Ivey Business School graduate and holds a CPA designation.

JOSEPH MICALLEF

Joseph Micallef is a retired Partner at KPMG LLP. He brings 30 years of experience in professional services across various industries including financial services, asset management companies, investment funds (retail and Illiquid funds), power and utilities, telecom, technology, life sciences, oil and gas and renewable energy. Joseph actively serves on several boards, associations, charitable organizations as well as engaging in public service. He has 15 years of C-suite experience which he leverages his expertise in leadership, strategy, and governance to help individuals and organizations reach their full potential. Joseph is passionate about fostering an inclusive and equitable workplace, public service and community building via his activities volunteering on not-for-profit boards and committees as well as providing policy advice at both the federal and provincial government levels. These efforts culminated in recognition as a Fellow of the Chartered Professional Accountants by CPA Ontario.
