McMichael Canadian Art Collection

ANDREW PRINGLE

Andrew Pringle worked in the investment business at RBC Capital Markets from 1972 to 2002. He retired as Managing Director, Head of Global Fixed Income and a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. He is currently the Chair of RPIA, an alternative asset manager focused on fixed income. Mr. Pringle is a board member of Fidelity Investments of Canada, having served on that company’s Independent Review Committee from 2007 to 2014. He is Chair of the Canadian Foundation for AIDS Research (CANFAR), and a Director of The Shaw Foundation and the Atlantic Salmon Federation, and advisor to the Evergreen Foundation for the Evergreen Brickworks project. Mr. Pringle is a past Chair of the Toronto Police Services Board, the Board of Upper Canada, and the Shaw Festival. He has served on the board of The Canadian Council of Christians and Jews, and The Walrus Foundation. In June 2018, Mr. Pringle was awarded the Order of Canada.

GILLIAN WHITEBREAD

Gillian Whitebread has over 15 years of experience in HR leadership roles in the financial services and retail industries. Ms. Whitebread is a member of the Human Resources Management Committee at CIBC and holds the position of Vice-President, Human Resources, Technology and Operations. Prior to this role, she spent five years as the Vice-President accountable for Executive Talent Management and Workforce Analysis. During this time, she was also accountable for leading the Bank's Diversity and Inclusion Team, a period during which CIBC was named one of Canada's Best Diversity Employers and was recognized for its commitment to Gender Diversity by being included in Bloomberg's Gender Equality Index.

ROBERT (TIMOTHY) JOHNSON

Tim Johnson, conceptual author and executive producer of the multiple Award-winning documentary RUMBLE: The Indians Who Rocked the World, is an experienced education, museum, and arts executive who in the past five years helped lead the development of three public artworks of national significance that recognize and honour Indigenous peoples’ contributions to Canada. As the former Associate Director for Museum Programs at the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of the American Indian, Tim managed the museum’s largest organizational group across its facilities in Washington and New York for ten years. A long list of critically acclaimed exhibits and programs were produced during his tenure, creating an era that significantly advanced the institution's museology and reputation. Active in his home community of Six Nations of the Grand River and with several prestigious education, arts, and journalism institutions for more than 40 years.

LESLIE WHICHER

Leslie Whicher is a Realtor (self-employed) for Re/Max Hallmark York Group Realty Ltd., Brokerage, a Barrister and Solicitor Lawyer (self-employed), and a former Corporate/Commercial Associate Lawyer for Bratty and Partners. Leslie’s community involvement includes serving as Director and former Co-Chair for Kingscross Ratepayers’ Association.

RAND LOMAS

Rand Lomas is a partner at Fasken Martineau, a Chairman and Chief Executive Officer at Labrador Holdings Limited, and a chairman Emeritus at IMCD Canada Limited. Rand’s community involvement includes serving as a volunteer trustee and committee member for the McMichael Canadian Art Collection.

STACIE STANTON

Stacie Stanton is a Publisher/Editor for Quebec Chronicle – Telegraph, and a former Lawyer for Genest Murray. Her community involvement includes serving as a Chair of Governance and People Committee for Southlake Regional Health Centre Board of Directors.

SABRINA ZUNIGA

Sabrina Zuniga, PhD, is an entrepreneur and expert educator with a passion for learning and community engagement. She has transformational government relations, strategic direction, entrepreneurial and governance expertise in SMEs and NFP sectors. Her doctoral degree is in Higher Education from the University of Toronto, Ontario Institute for Studies in Education. Dr. Suniga is also active in her community volunteering for various charities and organizations including having set on non-profit boards and mentoring at CAMH.

DEBRA FENWICK

Debra Fenwick is a Principal & Senior Interior Designer/Project Manager for Fenwick Design Group. She is a member of IDC and CaGBC and registered member of ARIDO (where she is involved with the Provincial Advocacy committee) and has obtained her LEED AP accreditation. She has been involved with the McMichael Gallery on the Properties and Building Committee for the last 6 years and has a personal history and commitment to the Gallery.

MICHELLE MENELEY

Michelle Meneley is an enthusiastic and committed volunteer and fundraiser whose primary interests are human rights, public health, and visual art. She is Co-Vice Chair of the Human Rights Watch Canada Committee and sits on the Management Committee for Partners in Art, an organization that champions contemporary visual art within Canada. Community involvement includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Child Development Institute for six years and the Board of Directors of Sheena’ Place for five years. She received her BSc in Rehabilitation Medicine from Western University, her MSc in Community Health from the University of Toronto and is completing an MPH in global health at the Miken Institute School of Public Health at George Washington University.

DREW FAGAN

Drew Fagan is a professor at the Munk School of Global Affairs and Public Policy at the University of Toronto. Also, he is a Senior Advisor at McMillian Vantage Policy Group. Mr. Fagan previously spent 12 years in leadership positions with the Government of Ontario and Canada.

KAREN MCCLEAVE

Karen McCleave is a lawyer who devoted her career to public services as an Assistant Crown Attorney in several judicial districts. Her caseload included prosecutions in York region, Dufferin and Simcoe Counties. Specific designations included wiretap agent and provincial mentor for sexual violence cases. She has taught Crown Attorneys, Provincial and Municipal Prosecutors, Provincial, Municipal and Military Police and other stakeholders on a range of topics. Karen is the recipient of two Ontario Excelsior Awards for “outstanding achievement”. She has served on Board of Directors, both professional and community based. She is knowledgeable in governance principles and by-law drafting. Volunteer work also includes numerous community causes to raise money for international relief, women’s shelters, food banks and coaching high school students for mock trial programs.
