JENNIFER MAZZAROLO

Jennifer is a maverick. After obtaining her CA and spending several years in public accounting with a Big 4 CA firm, Jennifer took a risk and made the leap to industry. There she spent several years working in various roles for large, multinational Tier 1 Consumer Packaged Goods companies. When the opportunity came to make an industry change to Pharmaceuticals, she took the risk. She spent several years in a large, industry-leading multinational organization, lived through a global merger and then made a bold move to a smaller, entrepreneurial Biotech where she was Director of Finance and Business Controller. Jennifer, by now, had developed her technical and interpersonal skills, and worked alongside tremendous people, but it was time to explore a new industry completely, Recruitment. Taking the biggest risk of her career, she was able to leverage her vast business network and harness her natural talent at building strong personal relationships to become a top performer in the industry. Relying on her credentials, her emotional intelligence and customer service orientation, the risk paid off. Jennifer's performance and drive led her to become a Partner in an industry-leading GTA Accounting and Finance Recruitment firm she helped form and build, but her purpose has driven her to create Maverick Consulting Group. Jennifer became a Fellow CPA in November 2025; the highest honour bestowed on a CPA by the profession and her peers. Jennifer is currently on the Board of Comfort Bears Ontario and volunteers as Community Lead for "Build Canada"; a growth initiative by engaged citizens. Jennifer routinely volunteers her time to support CPA Ontario and is President of the Hamilton CPA Ontario Association and a past member of the Board of Directors of Hamilton Golf and Country Club as Finance Chair. Jennifer has been a CPA Mentor and past Chair of the Marshal Volunteer Committee for the RBC Canadian Open. Jennifer has a keen sense of humour, and a positive, direct operating style; both have shaped her as a maverick. Jennifer is passionate about people and leadership. Jennifer is currently a Volunteer Board member of Comfort Bears Ontario, a charity whose purpose is to ease the stress and anxiety of children experiencing terminal illness or trauma. They partner with local hospitals, first responders and community service groups who gift the bears to children in need in the Greater Toronto and Hamilton areas as well as Niagara Region.
