Art Gallery of Ontario
SARAH SCOTT
Sarah Barlow Scott is publisher of Barlow Books, a non-fiction publisher based in Toronto. Before founding Barlow Books in 2012, Sarah was an award-winning journalist, working mainly for newspapers and national magazines. She has a lifelong interest in art, especially contemporary art, thanks to her mother, Janet Scott, who was a very knowledgeable collector. Sarah lives in Toronto with her husband David Powell. She has a daughter, Zoe Knowles, and a stepson, Jack Powell.
JOHN BECK
John M Beck is Founder and Chairman of Aecon Group Inc. Graduating in Civil Engineering from McGill University, with more than 60 years of experience in the construction industry in Canada and internationally. His background includes corporate leadership in numerous construction activities including heavy civil projects and public-private partnerships for the development of infrastructure, such as airports, toll roads and transit systems. John is a member of the Board of Directors of the Chartered Professional Accountants of Ontario and a member of the Business Council of Canada. Previously, he served as a member of the Board of the Royal Conservatory of Music, as Co-Chair of the Infrastructure & Urban Development Industries at the World Economic Forum and a Board Member of the Ontario Financing Authority and Chairman of the Board of the Ontario Power Authority. In 2024, John was appointed to the Order of Ontario, the province’s highest civilian honour bestowed by the Lieutenant Governor.
ANDREW FEDERER
Andrew Federer is a Vice Chairman, RBC Capital markets and is a member of the Global Investment Banking Management Committee. He also previously served as Head of Corporate Finance in Canada. Mr. Federer is a member of the Board of Trustees of The Art Gallery of Ontario, former Vice Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Bishops Strachan School and CO-Chairman of the RBC Capital Markets Foundation.
KENNETH MONTAGUE
Kenneth Montague is a Toronto-based dentist as well as an art collector and founder and director of Wedge Curatorial Projects, a non-profit arts organziation that helps promote African Canadian artists. Since 1997, Mr. Montague has been exhibiting contemporary art that explores black identity and the African diaspora, and showcasing these works in his Wedge Collection. Currently he sits on the Africa Acquisitons Committee at Tate Modern in London, UK. He previously served on the Advisory Board of the Ryerson Image Centre from 2011 to 2014 and the Photography Curatorial Committee of the Art Gallery of Ontario from 2009 to 2012. Mr. Montague has also been invited to lecture on contemporary art at The Studo Musuem in Harlem, the National Gallery of Art in Washington, DC and the Gulbenkian Foundation in Lisbon, among other international art institutions.
