Fish and Wildlife Heritage Commission

BRENT MCNAMEE

Brent McNamee was previously Chief Executive Officer of Fresh Air Educators in Ottawa where he worked closely with Fish and Wildlife agencies across Canada, USA and Oceania providing progressive outdoor education e-learning & certification solutions. Brent grew the company internationally over two decades with 50+ employees and sold to a private equity firm in 2017. Brent was previously an Ontario Hunter Safety Course Instructor, a Canadian Firearms Safety Course Instructor, and remains a licensed Trapper and accomplished angler & big game hunter including completing his Grand Slam of North American Wild Sheep in 2018 & The Super Ten of North American Big Game in 2024. Brent has served on the Fish and Wildlife Heritage Commission since 2020. His community involvement includes serving as a volunteer for Ducks Unlimited Canada, Scouts Canada, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Foundation and Hockey Canada.

YVONNE BROWN

Yvonne Brown works at St. Lawrence College in Kingston as an Logistics Co-ordinator. In 2012, she founded Ontario Women Anglers and is a strong advocate for getting women and children outdoors and on the water. As an ambassador for the Keep Canada Fishing initiative, she promotes National Fishing Week and licence-free fishing days at every opportunity. Yvonne has also been an instructor at the OFAH Women’s Outdoor Weekend for the past 10 years, writes for a number of outdoor publications and is an avid turkey hunter. In 2016, Yvonne became the first female to receive the Rick Amsbury Award of Excellence, presented by the Canadian Angler Hall of Fame, for her contributions to the sport. She was also the first female recipient of the President's Award given out by the Canadian Sportfishing Industry Association in 2019.

JIM GREENWOOD

Jim Greenwood is a former Conservation Officer of Resource Technician and Deputy Conservation Officer for the Ministry of Natural Resources. His community involvement includes serving as President for the Long Point Area Fish and Game Club.
