Appointee Biographies

BRENT MCNAMEE

Brent McNamee was previously Chief Executive Officer of Fresh Air Educators in Ottawa where he worked closely with Fish and Wildlife agencies across Canada, USA and Oceania providing progressive outdoor education e-learning & certification solutions. Brent grew the company internationally over two decades with 50+ employees and sold to a private equity firm in 2017. Brent was previously an Ontario Hunter Safety Course Instructor, a Canadian Firearms Safety Course Instructor, and remains a licensed Trapper and accomplished angler & big game hunter including completing his Grand Slam of North American Wild Sheep in 2018 & The Super Ten of North American Big Game in 2024. Brent has served on the Fish and Wildlife Heritage Commission since 2020. His community involvement includes serving as a volunteer for Ducks Unlimited Canada, Scouts Canada, Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters Foundation and Hockey Canada.

JIM GREENWOOD

Jim Greenwood is a former Conservation Officer of Resource Technician and Deputy Conservation Officer for the Ministry of Natural Resources. His community involvement includes serving as President for the Long Point Area Fish and Game Club.

MARK GLOUTNEY

Mark Gloutney, of Osgoode, is a former National Director of Science, Education and Business Planning at Ducks Unlimited Canada. He is also a former Acting Director for Conservation Programs at Ducks Unlimited Canada. His community involvement includes serving as Treasurer of the Ottawa Chapter for Muskies Canada.

SHANNON GUTOSKIE

Shannon Gutoskie is a communications professional with extensive experience in strategic communications, media relations, and public engagement. She has worked with organizations including the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority, and South Nation Conservation, supporting conservation, outdoor recreation, and environmental stewardship initiatives across Ontario. Before transitioning into communications, Shannon worked as a television reporter for CTV Northern Ontario and CHEX Television, covering local news and community issues throughout Peterborough and the Durham Region. An avid angler and hunter, Shannon is passionate about the outdoors and committed to advancing conservation, sustainable resource management, and Ontario’s hunting and fishing heritage.
