SANDRA SHIME

Sandra Shime is the Director of Dispute Resolution Services. Sandra has extensive experience in dispute resolution, adjudication, and management in both the private and public sectors. Most recently she served for 13 years as a Vice Chair and the Alternate Chair at the Workplace Safety & Insurance Appeals Tribunal (WSIAT). Sandra adjudicated and mediated cases at the WSIAT and also worked on policy and training initiatives. Sandra has broad expertise in administrative law and mediation and has worked throughout the province with major unions and employers. Her prior roles included working as a litigation lawyer at a national law firm in NYC, as an Assistant District Attorney, and as Director of Pro Bono Programs at the Women's Bar Foundation in Massachusetts. In her volunteer work, Sandra has served as part of the executive team for Women in Leadership Foundation where she has led diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and worked on leadership initiatives in the areas of business, law and technology. She was selected as Co-Chair for the 2022-2023 year. Sandra also volunteers as a mentor with high school students for Achev, a non-profit in Ontario, and has worked as a mentor for law students at Justice for Children and Youth and at the Lincoln Alexander School of Law. Sandra has worked as a lecturer and speaker at the Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators and at the Ontario Bar Association. Sandra is a certified mediator in New York, Massachusetts and Ontario. She is currently a member in good standing at the Law Society of Upper Canada and has been admitted to the bar in Massachusetts, Ontario and New York. Sandra was nominated for the 2021/2022 YWCA Women of Distinction Award and she was recently nominated in July 2022 for the Ministry for Women and Gender Equality and Youth Governor-General Award for her work with first generation students and on gender equality in the law.

ERIN KUZZ

Erin Kuzz is one of the founding members of Sherrard Kuzz LLP in Toronto, Canada where she represents employers in all areas of employment and labour law. Erin has been recognized by Lexpert®, Chambers Global®, Who’s Who Legal® (Most Highly Regarded and Global Elite) and Best Lawyers® as one of Canada’s leading employment and labour lawyers. Erin is a Past Chair of the Labour and Employment Section of the Ontario Bar Association and was a member of the Human Resource Committee for the Toronto 2015 Pan/Para Pan Am Games. She is also a member of the prestigious College of Labour and Employment Lawyers. Erin is widely published, has written extensively about a number of different labour and employment issues and has also taught labour relations at both York University and University of Toronto.

KELLY TOSATO

Kelly Tosato, of Mississauga, is President of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Locals 175. Kelly’s community involvement has included serving as President of United Food and Commercial Workers Union Locals 175 Housing INC.

STEVEN WEISMAN

Steven Weisman serves as counsel for the Canadian District of the United Brotherhood of Carpenters and Joiners of America, where he represents the union in complex legal matters in Ontario and in negotiations across Canada. Previously, he has represented both construction and non-construction clients at the Ontario Labour Relations Board, private arbitrations and at collective bargaining.

MARGARET TAYLOR

Margaret is an experienced and accomplished association management consultant who provides executive, financial, and operational leadership to not-for-profit and construction trade associations. With over 20 years of hands-on experience in the construction industry, Margaret has a deep understanding of the challenges and opportunities facing the sector and its stakeholders. Currently, Margaret serves as the Executive Director of the Utility Contractors Association of Ontario (UCAO), where she supports the board's objectives and oversees the provincial bargaining unit, labour and government relations, and member services. She is also the Executive Director of the Ontario Association of Demolition Contractors (OADC), where she manages the bargaining, events, advocacy, administration and communication, of the association.
