Health Unit Board - Eastern Ontario

GARY BARTON

Gary Barton, of Vankleek Hill, is the former Mayor of Champlain Township. Gary’s community involvement includes serving as a Chair of the Vankleek Manor Non-Profit Housing Corporation, as Founding Board Member of the Higginson Tower Historical Site, and as a Board Member with the Vankleek Historical Society.

GERALD (GERRY ) BOYCE

Gerald Boyce, of South Mountain, is a School Bus Driver for Valley Bus Lines and is the former Deputy Mayor for the North Dundas Council and former Councillor for the United Counties of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry. Mr. Boyce’s community involvement includes serving as President and Board Member of the Mountain Township Agricultural Society, as President of the Canadian Club of Morrisburg & District as well as having served as a volunteer firefighter for over 30 years with the Mountain Township Fire Department.

CAROLINE PREVOST

Caroline Prevost leads initiatives enhancing healthcare services and interdisciplinary collaboration and had a pivotal role in Maillon-Santé initiative. She is actively involved in Ontario’s Strategy for Special Needs Services and Strategic planning for mental health services in Prescott-Russell. She also advocates for Healthy Kids Community Action. Caroline is currently a member of the Ontario Health Team Archipel Advisory Committee and the Prescott-Russell Community Safety and Well-being Plan implementation team. Her military career highlights include UNDOF deployment in the Golan Heights, Operation Palladium in Bosnia Herzegovina, Task Force Afghanistan Health Services Support deployment, Exercise Tropical Hammer 09-01 in Jamaica, and Sentry Commander for Remembrance Day in November 2010. Caroline enjoys outdoor adventures like kayaking and cycling. Her creative hobbies include wood painting, card making and sewing.

DEBBIE ST JOHN DE WIT

Debbie St John-de Wit is a life-long resident of Stormont, Dundas and Glengarry Counties. Debbie is currently retired from a very gratifying health and social services career that spanned over 40 years, from front-line service delivery roles to Program Supervisor with the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, Senior Planner with the Champlain Local Health Integration Network and ending her career as the inaugural Executive Director for Seaway Valley Community Health Centre. Debbie holds a Baccalaureate Degree in Social Sciences, a Master's in Project Management, certifications for both administration of Hospitals and Long-Term Care homes and has completed Ethics certification. Debbie has been married to her husband Bill for 42 years. They own and operate a family farm where they have raised 3 children. They currently have 5 beautiful grandchildren.
