JOHN E FLEMING
John Fleming is the Owner/Chief Executive Officer for John Fleming Occasional Consulting Inc., an Integrity Commissioner for the Town of Caledon. He is a Past Chair of the Board of Governors of Sheridan College.
CARRIE MCEACHRAN
Carrie McEachran is the Executive Director of Sarnia-Lambton Rebound. Mrs. McEachran carries a master’s degree in leadership from Royal Roads University, a developmental services worker diploma from Loyalist College and a non-profit management certificate for 16 years including a team as President of the Rotary Club of Sarnia. She has served previous terms on boards of director for North Lambton Community Health Centre, Sarnia-Lamton Physician Recruitment Taskforce and a provincial board member for PAVRO (Professional Association of Volunteer Leadership Ontario). She is an active member and volunteer for the Sarnia-Lambton Chamber of Commerce, Arlanxeo Community Advisory Committee and the current Chairperson for the Sarnia-Lambton Social Services Network.
NICOLE BONNIE
Nicole Bonnie, MSW, EdD (c), has dedicated her professional life to social justice by supporting sustainable change within systems. In 2019, she was named the first Black CEO of Ontario Children’s Aid Societies and the province’s child welfare sector. Nicole has a master’s in social work from Toronto Metropolitan University and is completing a doctorate in Leadership Education at Western University. Like her approach to front-line services and management practice, Nicole’s leadership style is courageous and innovative, and is committed to equity excellence. Her focus has been supporting the strategic implementation, alignment, and integration of equity frameworks across organizations. She has championed prevention strategies through community development and addressing service disparities to marginalized identities. Nicole has worked in several areas of social work practice, including adult and youth mental health, violence against women, crisis counseling, and criminal justice.
CHISANGA CHEKWE
Chisanga P Chekwe is President of the Masomo Education Foundation, an organization that provides scholarships to low income students. Before that he served as Deputy Minister of the Ontario Ministry of Citizenship Immigration and International Trade. He was previously Chair of the Social Benefits Tribunal. In 1998, he became founding Chair and CEO of the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal. Other roles include Chair and CEO of Ontario Criminal Injuries Compensation Board. In 1994 he served as a United Nations Observer and Adjudication Officer to the historic South African election. Two years later he supervised the election in Bosnia. Chisanga read law at Birmingham University in England. A Rhodes Scholar, he received an LL.M from the University of London, and B.A. and M.A. degrees in philosophy, politics, and economics from Oxford University. In 2016, he obtained the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Chisanga is the author of four books and several papers.
ALEX YUAN
Alex Yuan founded a successful medical software development company in 1982. He has served on numerous non-profit boards and as the founder of the S’port for Kids charitable foundation in 1997. Alex has been appointed to key positions on the Ontario Job and Investment Board and the Ontario Medical Association’s Ontario Medical Student Bursary Fund Committee. He also served as a Team Richmond Hill Business Ambassador. Alex has received several honours and awards, including the Outstanding Business Achievement award from the Ontario Chamber of Commerce, the Entrepreneur of the Year Award from the ACCE, and recognition from the Queen Elizabeth II Diamond and Platinum Jubilee awards, as well as the Toronto Police Services John Herra Award, among others. Presently, Alex serves as co-chair for the Toronto Police Services Chinese Community Consultative Committee, board member at the Education Quality and Accountability Office, and board chair at the Retirement Homes Regulatory Authority.
