Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO)
ROBERT WONG
Robert Wong is Executive Vice President and Chief Information Officer at Toronto Hydro, responsible for information technology, operational technology, cyber security, and telecommunications. He was also Chief Risk Officer, responsible for corporate enterprise risk management, strategic planning, corporate governance, and business continuity. Robert is on the Board of Directors of Canadian Cyber Threat Exchange and its Finance and Audit Committee and holds a Bachelor of Applied Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Toronto, Master of Business Administration Degree from the Schulich School of Business at York University, and Chartered Director designation from The Directors College (a collaboration between McMaster University and The Conference Board of Canada).
THOMAS MITCHELL
Thomas Mitchell, of Mississauga, is Chairman of World Association of Nuclear Operators. He is also former Director of First Energy Corp and former President and Chief Executive Officer of Ontario Power Generation. His community involvement has included serving as a board member for Parkwood Foundation.
DAVID COLLIE
David Collie was appointed Chair of the Electrification and Energy Transition Panel in May of 2022. The Panel provided recommendations to the Minister of Energy on key areas such as the clean-energy economy, sector governance and accountabilities and comprehensive energy planning. David is the past President and Chief Executive Officer of the Electrical Safety Authority of Ontario. Prior to ESA, he held several executive positions in the energy sector, including Burlington Hydro, Hydro One and Enbridge (formerly Union Gas). David was Chair of the Electricity Distributors Association, Plug N’ Drive as well as Vice Chair of the Energy Council of Canada. He was a founding member of the Ontario Smart Grid Forum and the Energy Transformation Network of Ontario. He is also a board member of the CWB Group, the Ontario Medical Association, and the Edison Welding Institute. Professionally, David is a Chartered Professional Accountant (“Fellow”) and a Chartered Director.
FRANK FAZZARI
Frank Fazzari is Managing Partner at Fazzari + Partners, Chartered Professional Accountants, established in 1988. Frank directly provides assurance, advisory, tax and other services to private and not for profit entitles. Frank is Special advisor to high-net-worth individuals through Family Office Services also provided. Frank’s firm has been nominated and received multiple times, best Professional Service Firm in Vaughan by the Vaughan Chamber of Commerce. In 2013, Frank obtained Fellowship recognition from governing CPA body for contribution to the profession. In 2020, Frank received Order of Vaughan for community involvement. Frank is a board member of Humber River Hospital, with one of the largest and newest facilities in Canada. Frank is former chair of Advisory Board of Niagara University of Vaughan.
SIMON CHAPELLE
Simon Chapelle has over 25 years of specialty marketing and sales experience in the mining, environmental and telecom industries and more than a decade of community engagement in economic development. Over his career, he has served on two municipal hydro boards, Sudbury Hydro and more recently, as a Public Director with Kingston Hydro. Simon is currently a municipal Councilor in the City of Kingston (2018). Formerly a member of the Parole Board of Canada, he is experienced in making risk-based decisions where he demonstrated effective interpretation and implementation of complex legislation and policy directives. Complementing his governance and board experience, Simon holds a Master of Public Administration and a certificate in Alternative Dispute Resolution.
WENDY LANDRY
Wendy Landry, of Shuniah, is the Mayor of the Municipality of Shuniah and Vice-President of Indigenous Leadership Strategies and Partnerships at Confederation College. Wendy’s community involvement includes serving as past President of the Northwestern Ontario Municipal Association.
KEN HARTWICK
Mr. Ken Hartwick has over 40 years of experience in a variety of fields such as finance, investment, corporate leadership and governance, risk management, and stakeholder engagement, with 35 years in the finance and energy sectors. He is the former President and Chief Executive Officer of Ontario Power Generation (OPG), where he served from 2015-2024. He stewarded the release of the company’s first Climate Change Plan, advanced electrification through the Ivy charging network and PowerON fleet subsidiary, launched OPG’s inaugural Reconciliation Action Plan, and oversaw the advancement of plans to deploy Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) at the Darlington site. In his previous work, he was interim President and Chief Executive Officer of Atlantic Power Corporation, Chief Financial Officer and Chief Executive Officer of Just Energy Corporation, Chief Financial Officer of Hydro One, and Chief Financial Officer and Treasurer of Wellspring Financial Corporation. He was a partner at Ernst & Young LLP and has held senior roles with Capgemini. He is a Chartered Professional Accountant and holds an Honours Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Trent University. He currently serves on several boards: Humber River Health (Board Member, June 2025-Present), Investment Management Corporation of Ontario (Board Member, June 2025-Present), Denison Mines Corp. (Board Member, May 2025-Present), MYR Group (Board Member, July 2015-Present).
