Background
In the 2021 Ontario Budget, the government announced that the Minister of Finance and the Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues will establish a task force to ensure inclusive economic growth is achieved, particularly in an economy that will look different after COVID-19.
Function

The Task Force will seek to address the unique and disproportionate economic barriers women face, particularly in an economy that will look different after COVID-19. The Task Force will provide verbal advice to the Minister of Finance and Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues through a series of meetings throughout spring and summer 2021.

Membership

The Task Force will have up to ten members including a Chair. Members will be appointed by the Minister of Finance and the Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues via Ministers' Letter.

Qualifications

Ability to provide expertise and advice on the disproportionate economic barriers women face in Ontario to the Minister of Finance and the Associate Minister of Children and Women's Issues. 

Term

The Task Force is established for a period of up to 9 months. 

Meetings
The Task Force will meet a minimum of four times throughout spring and summer 2021.
Remuneration

Task Force members will not receive remuneration. Task Force members will be reimbursed for all reasonable expenses in accordance with the Management Board of Cabinet, Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
