The PLDF helps the province, municipalities, developers, businesses and community groups resolve issues related to growth management, land use and infrastructure planning, and environmental protection by providing impartial facilitation services or by acting as a negotiator on behalf of the province. The new agency was made operational on October 1, 2020.
One appointee. The Provincial Land and Development Facilitator is the Chair of the agency.
Extensive senior government management experience (e.g. provincial and municipal government levels); executive level business and political acuity.
No term limit in legislation.
- As needed.
$1200 per diem up to $280,800 annually. Eligible for expenses as set out in the Travel, Meal and Hospitality Expenses Directive.
