Function

The Authority is responsible for managing, operating and developing the airport for the public benefit and in a way that is safe, efficient and financially viable.

Membership

The Authority is a not-for-profit corporation headed by fourteen directors representing regional/municipal, federal and provincial governments, as well as labour interests. The nominee of the Government of Ontario is selected by means of a Ministerial Appointment letter. The nominee is then formally appointed by the Board.

Term

Directors serve for a term established by the board and are eligible for reappointment.

Meetings

The Board meets 6 to 8 times a year.

Remuneration

Appointees are paid by the Board.
