Function

The Human Rights Legal Support Centre provides legal assistance to people in communities across Ontario who believe they have experienced discrimination contrary to the Ontario Human Rights Code, and who may want to file an Application to the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario.

Membership

The members of the Centre consist of its board of directors. The board of directors consists of no fewer than five and no more than nine members appointed by the Lieutenant Governor in Council. A Chair is designated by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

Term

Members are appointed for a term specified by the Lieutenant Governor in Council.

Remuneration

Appointees to the Human Rights Legal Support Centre are remunerated on a per diem basis as follows: Chair: $566; Member: $375.
