Function

The Board oversees the administration of the Provincial Judges Pension Plan and investment of two trust funds for sitting and retired judges, and their survivors including eligible children. In carrying out the duties under its mandate, the Board has a fiduciary obligation to act in the interest of the Plan’s beneficiaries.

Membership

The Lieutenant Governor in Council appoints five members and designates a chair from among the members.

Term

Members serve three years and until a successor is appointed. Members are eligible for reappointment.

Meetings

Four meetings a year held at 200 King Street West, Suite 2200. A half day of preparation time per meeting is required.

Remuneration

Appointees are remunerated according to Schedule A, Level 2 of the Agencies and Appointments Directive
