Function

The board regulates water levels and flows in the Lake of the Woods, Lac Seul and in the Winnipeg and English Rivers between the lake outlets and their confluence.

Membership

There are four Board members. The Lieutenant Governor in Council of Ontario appoints two members and two alternates. One member and one alternate are named by the Governor in Council and one member and one alternate are named by the Lieutenant Governor in Council of Manitoba. This chart only provides information on the Ontario members.

Term

At pleasure of the Crown.

Meetings

The Board meets three times a year, in March, June and October, usually in Kenora.

Remuneration

Appointees do not receive remuneration.
