Agency Members Biographies


Kathleen Reid is the Communications and Education Coordinator for the Otonabee Region Conservation Authority in Peterborough. Most recently, she held the office of Vice-Chair of the Algonquin Forestry Authority and was a member of the Kawartha Highlands Signature Site Park Management Advisory Board. Ms. Reid is a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters and the Norwood and District Horticultural Society. She holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Trent University.

Conrad R. Morin is a Municipal Councillor with the Town of Hearst, Chair of a local citizens' committee and a founding member and past President of the Ontario Fur Managers' Federation (OFMF). He is also an active member of the OFMF and the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters, a certified instructor of the Fur Harvest, Fur Management and Conservation Course and an avid outdoorsman enjoying fishing, hunting, trapping and conservation of our natural resources.

John Williamson farms at Inverary, is a Certified Wildlife Biologist and is currently Chair of the Cataraqui Source Water Protection Committee. Previously, he worked on various contracts involving migratory bird issues, deer policies and led community consultations with the Metis Nation of Ontario as well as various First Nations. He is a former Chief of Enforcement for the Canadian Wildlife Service, Ontario Region and held various positions within the Ministry of Natural Resources from 1968 to 1993. Mr. Williamson is a provincial appointee to the Ontario Fish and Wildlife Heritage Commission. He is a Director and Chair of SWITCH (a not-for-profit green support group), Director of the Frontenac Federation of Agriculture, and is a former member of the South Frontenac Police Services Board. Mr. Williamson is also a Director with the Frontenac Futures Community Development Corporation. He holds a Bachelor's degree in Fish and Wildlife Management from the University of Guelph.

John McDonald is the former Chair and member of Sioux Lookout Hydro, where he served from 1998 to 2014. Additionally, Mr. McDonald served as Mayor of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout from 1998 to 2004. For 23 years, he worked with the Ministry of Natural Resources on the Fish and Wildlife Management and Enforcement and Supervised Lands Management program. Mr. McDonald's community involvement has included being a committee member of Ducks Unlimited, and a former volunteer fireman with the Sioux Lookout Fire Department.

Glenn Rivard is retired from Hydro One Forestry, a position that has allowed him to travel northwestern Ontario extensively. He is a member of the province of Ontario's Big Game Advisory Committee (BGMAC). He has been on the board of directors for the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters since 1999. He is Chair of the OFAH Big Game Advisory Committee. He is a Basic Archery Instructor Trainer for the National Archery in the Schools Program in Ontario. He has been involved with training approximately 100 teachers to safely deliver this curriculum program.

Gord Mitchell has been the owner/operator of Island Lake Lodge since 1976. He has been a member of the Big Game Advisory Committee since 1998 and is currently a member of Nature and Outdoor Tourism Ontario, the Marten River Association of Tourist Camp Operators and the Zone 11 Fisheries Committee.

Debbie Rivard is retired. She previously worked in customer services at Central Canada Fuels/Can-op. She is Chair of OFAH Zone B and a Provincial Board member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (OFAH). She is also the Chair of the OFAH Provincial Fisheries Advisory Committee and sits on the OFAH Provincial Small Game and Sporting Dogs Committee. Ms. Rivard is an avid angler and hunter as well as a trapper.

Leonard Dickinson retired as Acting Director of the Computer Services Division with Revenue Canada. He is an Instructor/Examiner with Ontario Hunter Education, Canadian Firearms Safety, Ontario Wild Turkey, International Bowhunter Education and Canadian Safe Boating. Mr. Dickinson is a member of the Ontario Federation of Anglers and Hunters (Zone F), co-founder of the Eastern Ontario Deer Management Advisory Council, President/CEO of Safari Club International Foundation Canada, serves on the Board of Directors for the SCIF Education/Sables and is a Master Mason in the Masonic Lodge. He holds a Bachelor of Environmental Studies degree from the University of Waterloo.
