CALEB GARROW - LEDOUX
Caleb Garrow-Ledoux is a dedicated community member from Northwestern Ontario, where he has been actively involved since his youth. His contributions include volunteering with the Dryden Kinsmen Club and founding the Vale Community Breakfast Program in Thunder Bay, which highlights his commitment to helping others. Professionally, Caleb serves as a project coordinator for a heavy civil construction firm in Thunder Bay, where he applies his organizational skills to oversee significant projects. When he’s not working or volunteering, he enjoys spending time outdoors, whether it's hiking, fishing, or golfing. He also loves to travel and indulge in trying new cuisines, reflecting his adventurous spirit and appreciation for diverse cultures.
JAMES WALSH
James Walsh is a seasoned security and law enforcement professional with more than 33 years of service in Ontario. A retired police officer, he has worked across virtually every facet of policing, including uniform patrol, criminal investigations, intelligence operations, traffic enforcement, emergency response, and community-based policing. He is widely recognized for his integrity, sound judgment, and strong communication and conflict-resolution skills. He has twice qualified as an expert witness in the Ontario Superior covert in covert GPS tracking technologies. He was recognized with both the 20-year and 30-year Governor General's Police Exemplary Service Medals. He currently serves as a Field Security Officer with Indigenous Services Canada, conducting security and occupational health and safety inspections at remote First Nations Nursing Stations, providing risk mitigation recommendations to senior leadership.
KAREN CAMERON-POWELL
Karen Cameron-Powell is an experienced educator, healthcare professional, and community leader with over 20 years of public service in Northwestern Ontario. She holds a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Arts, and Bachelor of Fine Arts from Lakehead University, along with additional qualifications in Special Education, and Technology. Karen has been a secondary school teacher with the Thunder Bay Catholic District School Board since 2009 and has also taught in the Policing Foundations program at Confederation College. Since 2001, she has worked as a Casual Ward Clerk in the Intensive Care Unit at the Thunder Bay Regional Health Sciences Centre, supporting healthcare teams and families. From 2016 to 2024, Karen served on the Shuniah Police Services Board, contributing to police governance, policy development, business planning, and oversight of police leadership. She has also held leadership roles with community policing and youth organizations.
