DAVID PATERSON

David W. Paterson served as Vice-President of Corporate and Environmental Affairs at General Motors Canada from 2014 to 2023, leading public policy, communications, and environmental relations during a transformational shift to electric vehicles, multi-billion-dollar investments in Canadian manufacturing, software and battery supply chain operations and the negotiation of Canada-United States-Mexico Agreement (CUSMA) and other international trade agreements. Prior to this, David served as Senior Vice- President of Government Relations and Public Policy at BlackBerry, where he led the company's global public policy engagement for 175 countries. He has also served as Senior Vice-President of Public Affairs at Manulife Financial and global head of Communications for AMEC plc in London, UK. David was Chair of the Canadian Chamber of Commerce in 2015 and has served as a Director of the Ontario and Canada Chambers, the Canadian American Business Council, the Canadian Vehicle Manufacturers Association, and the Canadian Journalism Foundation.
