JOHN VAN EVERY

John Van Every is a longtime resident of Western Manitoulin Island. His primary residence is in Meldrum Bay, located in Dawson Township, and he also maintains a seasonal summer property on Silver Lake in Robinson Township. His family history on Western Manitoulin now spans five generations. In addition to operating a modest beef farm on the family property in Dawson Township, John is actively involved in several community volunteer roles. His contributions include serving as a member of the Local Services Board, the Local Roads Board, and the Meldrum Bay Community Cemetery Board. Professionally, John has worked with Manitoulin Transport for 35 years in Human Resources leadership. He believes that the skills he has developed throughout his career, combined with his understanding of governance in unincorporated townships, will enable him to make a meaningful contribution to the community.
