Shafiq Ebrahim is currently Manager for Commercial Banking at National Bank of Canada. He manages a portfolio of more than 50 borrowing and non-borrowing clients with authorized lending limit of $41 million and deposit business of $183 million. Mr. Ebrahim has been a banker for more than 20 years. He previously worked for HSBC Bank Canada, RBC Royal Bank and Barclays Bank of Canada. He is an associate of the Chartered Institute of Bankers (England) and a fellow of the Institute of Canadian Bankers. As a volunteer, Mr. Ebrahim has served as Chair and Board Director of Special Olympics Ontario, Board director of Mackenzie Health, Board Director of Heart & Stroke Foundation, Chair of Golf Committee, IDRF, Board Trustee of United Way of York Region, Board Trustee and Cabinet Member of United Way of Greater Toronto, and member of York Regional Police, Police Community Advisory Council.


Belinda Tang is a strategic multi-disciplined global executive with deep industry experience in Information Technology and Professional Services. With an international career with the IBM Corporation, in Canada, the United States, and Asia, she is skilled in leading complex, large-scale organization change during times of transition and disruption. Most recently IBM’s Vice President, Leadership and Chief Diversity Officer, and head of HR for IBM’s Consulting business in developed an emerging market, she led talent management transformation and succession planning with a focus on client centricity, industry leadership, and diversity for a new era. She is credentialed Organization Coach from Columbia University. With fifteen years of board experience in the Healthcare Education sectors, she is currently Vice Chair, Seneca College, and was Chair, Strategic Planning on the Markham Stouffville Hospital Board during the hospital’s redevelopment. She served on the Talent and Diversity Council of the Asia Society in New York. Belinda is experience in supporting a Fortune 50 Board on talent, leadership succession and diversity agendas.


Alim Remtulla is a strategy and marketing professional who has led initiatives across the public, private and non-profit sectors. Currently, Alim works for Telus Communications, where he leads the Insights team. In addition, he held brand marketing, product management and innovation roles in the consumer-packaged goods sector. Alim is active in the community and serves as the Vice Chair of the Toronto Public Library.
