KAREN DUMOULIN
Karen Dumoulin is a Chartered Professional Accountant who held progressively senior positions at The St. Lawrence Seaway Management Corporation (SLSMC) where she worked for 21 years finishing as the Chief Financial Officer. Prior to joining the SLSMC, Karen worked for the Catholic District School Board of Eastern Ontario and the Hotel Dieu Hospital in Cornwall. Karen is a graduate of St. Lawrence College of Applied Arts and Technology 1983 in both Business Administration - Accounting and Data Processing. Karen has Board experience through her 11 years as Chief Financial Officer and her volunteer work with the Cornwall Figure Skating Club and the Cornwall Chapter of the Canadian Liver Foundation. She has experience in managing accounting, financial reporting, strategic and operational planning, risk management, pension plan investing and administration, information technology, information management and building maintenance.
ROB HUNTER
ROB HUNTER graduated from St. Lawrence College Brockville in Business Administration (1988). He worked in Economic Development for sixteen years and is currently the Economic Development Officer for the Municipality of South Dundas. Prior to this he spent time with the Township of North Dundas, the Ontario Business Improvement Area Association and Downtown Brockville BIA. Rob was the 2014 Ontario East Economic Development Commission ‘Economic Developer of the Year’. He holds three professional accreditation designations; certified Municipal management ‘CMM’, Canadian Certified Economic Developer with Fellowship “Ec.D (F)’ and International Certified Economic Developer “CEcD’
PETER STOKES
Peter Stokes has greater than 35 years of experience supporting research and innovation across Canada. He is Director, Partnerships and Officer/Corporate Secretary at CMC Microsystems, a not-for-profit research support organization in Canada. As a member of the senior leadership team, he has responsibilities in corporate strategy, planning, operations, risk assessment, partner development, and external liaison with stakeholders in universities, industry, and government. Prior to CMC Microsystems, Peter worked at Novatel with the cellular telephone engineering group and at DIPIX Technologies in hardware design for digital imaging via satellite. Peter is an Electronics Engineering Technologist, has an MBA from Queen's University and is a member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).
PETER DALTON
Peter Dalton is the former owner and President of Daltco Electric, Eastern Ontario’s largest independent electrical, lighting and automation distributor. As a leader in his industry, Peter acted as Chair of the Canadian Electrical Affiliated Distributors Canada (AD) Board and as a board member for Electro Federation Canada. As a committed member of his community, Peter has offered his expertise to a number of business and social organizations in Eastern Ontario, including acting as Vice Chair, Kingston Economic Development Corporation (Kedco), Governor for the Kingston General Hospital, and Board Member for St Lawrence College Foundation. He was named to Canada’s Best Managed Companies in 2017 and the Kingston Business Hall of Fame. Peter is a graduate of Queen’s University. He is currently a member of Young Presidents’ Organization (YPO), and sits on the Board of Directors of St Lawrence College, the Maltby Centre, and acts on the Advisory Board of the Smith School of Business.
