Centennial College of Applied Arts and Technology - Board of Governors

IVAN SILVER

Dr. Ivan Silver has enjoyed a career in medical education focusing on both continuing professional development and faculty development. He was the inaugural director of the Centre for Faculty Development in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto from 2002-2009 and later the Vice-Dean of Continuing Professional Development at the University of Toronto (2005-2011). More recently he was the inaugural Vice-President of Education at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health, from 2012-2018. Dr. Silver is an award-winning medical educator and a full Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. He also continues an active clinical practice in geriatric psychiatry at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health. He is continuing his education research and scholarship in the areas of feedback, life-long learning and faculty development.

JOHN DYNES

John Dynes is the Managing Partner of Cascadia Equity Partners and a Partner at Cascadia Consulting. Prior to Cascadia, John was as a Portfolio Manager at JC Clark. John currently serves as a Board member of the Spark Centre and was previously Treasurer and Board Member of the Fred Victor Centre. He is actively involved in his community, most recently as Team Manager of the Scarborough Ice Raiders U10AA team. John holds a Bachelor of Business Administration from Wilfrid Laurier University, is a CFA charter holder and a CMT charter holder.

MICHAEL COOKSEY

Michael Cooksey is a retired Executive from BMO Financial Group. His community involvement includes serving as a Warden for Holy Trinity Anglican Church, and as a Director for Haliburton Club Scouts.

YVONNE VON JENA

Yvonne von Jena has over 25 years of experience in new market and product development in the financial services, real estate, and technology sectors. Most recently she was SVP, Client Solutions at RPS (a Brookfield company), and previous roles included product management, strategy, and business development at Asset, FCT and Oracle and corporate and investment banking at RBC and Deacon Capital. Ms von Jena has an MBA from Rotman and a BA from the University of Western. She is on the Board of Governors of Centennial College and on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Association for Business Economics (CABE).
