Cambrian College of Applied Arts and Technology - Board of Governors

TREVOR LALONDE

Trevor Lalonde has been working with Fisher Wavy in Sudbury for almost two years in the role of Controller. He is responsible for all financial activities of the business and works very closely with the operations group. Trevor is deeply driven by operational efficiencies and prides himself on the changes he implemented since starting with the company. Prior to joining Fisher Wavy, Trevor worked as a Tax Senior Manager with KPMG advising clients on tax compliance, tax planning and general business matters. He can be described by his peers as dedicated, hardworking, and personable. Trevor continues to have a strong sense of devotion to his work and is always willing to go above and beyond to improve his skills and motivate those around him. Trevor received his Chartered Accountant / Chartered Professional Accountant designation in 2013 and completed his In-Depth Tax Certificate in 2017. He currently sits on the board for the Sudbury Young Professionals Association as Vice Chair.

D JEFFREY SMITH

Jeffrey Smith was born on Manitoulin Island and attended the University of Western Ontario where he obtained his B.A. He was employed at the Manitoulin Group of Companies since 1986 and is presently the Executive Vice-President. In 1998, Jeff and his family moved to Sudbury. Previous board involvement since he moved to Sudbury includes the MineConnect, Montessori School of Sudbury, and the Sudbury Christian Academy. Current boards include the Sudbury Foodbank, Nature Conservancy of Canada, and as the Chair of the Board of Governors at Cambrian College.

SOPHIA MOUTSATSOS

Sophia Moutsatsos is an Associate for Moutsatsos Laakso Alexander LLP. Her community involvement includes serving as member of Board of Directors for Nickel Basin Federal Development Corporation.
