University of Guelph Board of Governors

JEFF MAINLAND

Jeff Mainland, of Toronto, is Executive Vice President of the Hospital for Sick Children. He is also former Vice President, Strategy, Performance and Communications of the Hospital for Sick Children. His community involvement includes serving as member of the Global Health Advisory Board with McMaster University.

ANDREW DUNCAN

Andrew Duncan is the Chief Investment Officer RioCan Real Estate Investment Trust. He holds an Honors in Bachelor of Science for Water Resources Engineering from University of Guelph.

BRUCE WEBSTER

Bruce Webster is a seasoned executive with over three decades of experience in governance, risk management, internal audit, and strategic leadership. He most recently served as Vice-President and Chief Audit Executive at Enbridge, one of North America's leading energy infrastructure companies. Prior to Enbridge, Bruce spent 33 years with PwC Canada, where he was a Partner and led the National Internal Audit and Risk Management practice. He advised both public and private sector organizations, helping them navigate complex regulatory environments, enhance risk resilience, and build robust governance frameworks. Bruce holds a Bachelor of Commerce from McMaster University, Hamilton ON and also the following professional designations: Chartered Accountant (CA); Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE); Chartered Accountant Investigative & Forensic Accounting (CA•IFA); Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA); and Certified in Financial Forensics (CFF).

MELANIE TEED MURCH

Melanie Teed-Murch is the former Chief Executive Officer of Ontario-based travel stops across the 400 and 401. She is obsessed with building corporate culture rooted in customer experience and transformational change. Melanie started her journey in retail and hospitality in 1998, as a retail store manager and spent the next two decades with Toys R Us and Babies R Us Canada. Her last post was as President, guiding the company through CCAA and eventually Canadian division stand-alone carve out and sale to Fairfax Financial. As a purpose-driven leader, she is known for building powerful mission and purpose focused teams that foster an environment of collaboration, trust and innovation. Melanie is a proud recipient of Women's Executive Network (WXN) Top 100 Women in 2019. Melanie is mom to two fantastic children, Zachary and Mikayla, and lives in Puslinch with her husband Paul, where she focuses on pilates, cooking, gardening, kayaking, paddle-boarding and family.
