Toronto Metropolitan University

EDWARD SHIM

Edward Shim is Managing Director of Studio 1 Labs, is best recognized for contributions in the technology, government, and industry sectors for the invention of patented electronic fabric systems, leveraging value-based resources and building trade relations during disruption of global supply chains, and creating new investment models with protection policies of sovereignty over intellectual property.

DAVID PORTER

David Porter was formerly employed as Managing Director at BMO Capital Markets as well as Manager, Global Syndications at RBC Capital Markets. His community involvement includes serving as a board member for the Finance Committee of Habitat for Humanity and Treasurer for PalCare of York Region. He holds a Bachelor of commerce from the University of Toronto and an MBA from York University, Schulich School.

MEG DAVIS

Meg Davis is the Chief Development Officer for Waterfront Toronto, responsible for leading the strategic development of its lands as part of its revitalization efforts. This includes overseeing creation of the public infrastructure and coordinating the planning, design and construction phases of these significant developments. In addition, she leads the selection processes and on-going relationships with development partners to ensure development contributes to meeting the corporate objectives of high design and complete sustainable and inclusive neighbourhoods. Meg brings over 35 years of experience as a planner and real estate expert for both the public and private sector including Bramalea Limited and KPMG. She has a Master’s in Business Administration and an Undergraduate Degree in Urban Studies. Meg is a Member of the Canadian Institute of Planners, Ontario Professional Planners Institute, Urban Land Institute – Women’s Leadership Initiative and Lambda Alpha International.

LOUISE TAYLOR GREEN

Louise Taylor Green is the Chair of the Board of the Hamilton Health Sciences Volunteer Association (HHSVA); a $30M retail & quick-serve restaurant charitable organization with a mandate to raise funds for the community of hospitals. She is also a Board Advisor for the Blu Ivy Group. She is a Director of the Institute of Management Consultants of Ontario (ICMCO) where she serves on the Board Nominating Committee. Louise has extensive director experience in not-for-profit boards (i.e. Ridley College, Fergie Jenkins Foundation, Industry Education Council, HHSVA, HRPA) and looks forward to serving on other boards. Louise has chaired a special committee overseeing CEO replacement, chaired an HRCC committee and has twice served as co-chair of Governance. She is financially literate with competency on various Board Committees such as Audit & Finance, Finance & Risk, HR & Compensation, Governance.

NAZMIN GUPTA

Nazmin Gupta currently serves on the Board of Directors, the Audit and the Investment Committees of the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation (MPAC). Nazmin holds at ICD.D designation. Nazmin has 30+ years’ experience in institutional real asset investment management. She was a Managing Director at BentallGreenoak and Chief Marketing Officer at TD Greystone Asset Management. Nazmin was also a Director at Morguard Investments Limited working with the President and CFO on the execution of key strategic initiatives. Nazmin has held senior strategy and operational management positions with Carpedia Group International, and PricewaterhouseCoopers. Nazmin graduated with a BSc. from the Wharton School of Business, and a BA in International Relations from the College of Arts and Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. She has completed executive education programs at Harvard Business School and Columbia Business School in Corporate Finance, Strategy, Process Improvement, and Marketing.

WALIED SOLIMAN

Walied Soliman COI BIO serves as a Chair (part-time) for the Securities Modernization Taskforce, and a Chair for Norton Rose Fullbright Canada LLP. Walied holds an LLB from Osgoode Law School

NORIE CAMPBELL

Norie Campbell is the Chief Legal Officer and Company Secretary of Thomson Reuters and part of its senior executive team. Prior to joining Thomson Reuters in 2023, she held a number of executive level roles at TD Bank Group. She has been recognized for her leadership by Catalyst Canada and the Women's Executive Network. Norie is a director of the Rideau Hall Foundation and is actively involved in the United Way of Greater Toronto. She received her Bachelor of Laws and Master of Laws degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School where she has also served as an adjunct professor. Norie resides in Toronto, Ontario with her family.
