Appointee Biographies

STEPHEN LEACH

is a graduate of the Faculty of Law, University of Alberta (LL.B.) and the lvey School of Business, University of Western Ontario (M.B.A). In the course of a 27-year career in law, venture capital, government, and international development, Mr. Leach has advised governments across the globe, including Canada, Iraq, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Indonesia, Georgia, Syria, and Tunisia. Previously, Mr. Leach was a Member of the Criminal Injuries Compensation Board of Ontario (2003-2007). Most recently, Mr. Leach served as President & CEO of the Canadian International Trade Tribunal (2009-2016), Country Director, Indonesia (2016-2017) and Country Director, Tunisia (2018-2019) implementing international development programs, including justice sector reform funded by the Canadian, Australian, and American governments.
