Investment Advisory Committee of the Public Guardian and Trustee

TANYA LAI

is Managing Director, Public Markets at Investment Management Company of Ontario (IMCO). Tanya has responsibilities for public market assets with a focus on strategy research & implementation, portfolio construction, manager selection- managing across public equities and credit. Tanya serves as a board member on the Toronto Investment Board. Tanya has an MBA from University of Toronto Rotman School of Management, Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) from University of Toronto, and is a CFA charter-holder (Toronto CFA Society).

DAVID YU

is a Professor at York University Schulich School of Business, teaching investment courses in both the Bachelor and the Master of Business Administration programs. He is a former Senior Consultant at AON Consulting and a former Senior Principal, Chief Compliance Officer and Portfolio Management Team Leader at Perigee Investment Counsel Inc. Mr. Yu's community involvement has included serving as past Chair of Youth Employment Services, past board member of St. John Ambulance and Big Sisters of Oakville and as a member of the McGill University Principal's Regional Advisory Board (Toronto). He holds both Master and Bachelor degrees in Electrical Engineering from McGill University.

CHRIS KAUTZKY

Chris Kautzky is currently the Chief Investment Officer for the Ontario Pension Board (OPB), having joined OPB in early 2019. Prior to joining OPB, Chris was a Partner at Aon. His community involvement includes serving as a Director for the North Shore Triathlon Club.

MAUREEN STAPLETON

Maureen Stapleton is an Associate Professor, Teaching Stream at the Rotman School of Management and a former institutional portfolio manager. Her community involvement has included serving as Director and Program Chair of Chartered Financial Analysts of Toronto. Ms. Stapleton holds a Master of Business Administration degree and a Master of Science degree from the University of Toronto, and a Bachelor of Science degree from Memorial University of Newfoundland. She is a CFA charterholder.

STEPHEN SISOKIN

Stephen Sisokin is Portfolio Manager and Chief Compliance Officer at Howard, Barclay & Associates Ltd. He is also a former Financial Advisor at BMO Nesbitt Burns. Mr. Sisokin's community involvement includes serving as a board member and Treasurer of AWB Charitable Foundation, an English teacher with Pueblo Ingles and a former board member of Halton's Children's Aid Foundation. He is a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Ontario, the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants and Portfolio Managers Association of Canada. He holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Windsor.

DANA BOYKO

Dana Boyko is Associate Professor, Teaching Stream at the Rotman School of Management at the University of Toronto. Prior to joining Rotman, she held a variety of senior roles related to asset management at BMO Nesbitt Burns, CIBC Trust, and Royal Trust. She has served on the boards of the Toronto Mendelssohn Choir and CFA Society Toronto. She has completed graduate studies in economics and holds both the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and Chartered Alternative Investment Analyst (CAIA) designations.

ELKE RUBACH

Elke Rubach is the Founder of Rubach Wealth, providing wealth and estate planning, insurance and asset management to clients. Former employment includes oversight of trading compliance within the The Bank of Nova Scotia. Community involvement includes founding "Fashion Heals" (in Support of Sick Kids) as well as serving as an Advisor to Sick Kids Foundation. Education includes a LLM from the London School of Economics.

AARON BENNETT

Aaron Bennett is UPP’s Chief Investment Officer and leads all aspects of UPP’s global investment strategy and operations. A seasoned portfolio manager, Aaron brings over 23 years of experience in finance and investing, with expertise in strategic asset allocation and responsible investing. Across his roles at Jarislowsky Fraser Global Investment Management, Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, and mid-sized Canadian investment banks, Aaron has supported systemic and robust investment analysis, policy formulation and strategic implementation across portfolios and asset classes. He volunteers as a member of the Investment Committee for the Perimeter Institute's Endowment, the UN PRI Asset Owner Technical Advisory Committee, and the CFA Society Toronto’s Advisory Council. Aaron holds a B.Sc Honours (Biology) from Queen’s University, an MBA from the Ivey School of Business Western University, and is a CFA Charterholder. He lives on east side of Toronto with his wife and two kids.

PAULINE LAI

Pauline Lai is currently the Senior Manager of Enterprise Market Risk at Royal Bank of Canada. Prior to joining RBC, Pauline was a manager at Canada Pension Plan Investment Board and an investment manager at OTPP and Manulife Investment Management. Her industry involvement includes serving at the Risk Committee of the Pension Investment Association of Canada, Fixed Income Committee at CFA Toronto and Audit & Finance Committee of the Ontario Canadian Cancer Society.
