Grant Review Team - Champlain - Ontario Trillium Foundation

DARRELL BARTRAW

Darrell Bartraw is a Property Standard and Licensing Appeals Committee Member for the City of Ottawa, and a former Justice of the Peace for the Province of Ontario. His community involvement includes serving as a Vice President for West Barrhaven Community Association, President for Canada Day Barrhaven Inc., and Co-Chair for the Barrhaven Classic Car Show and Food Truck Rally.

ALLAN MACDONELL

ALLAN MACDONELL had a university career in Fredericton, New Brunswick followed by voluntary activities focused in Ontario on continuity with the province’s past. They include South Glengarry Township’s Heritage Advisory Committee, 2004-pres.; Glengarry’s Historical Society, 2004-2012; Ministry of Tourism’s East Region 1812 Bicentennial, 2008-2015; Stormont Dundas and Glengarry’s Certified Forest Owners, 2011-2013; The Ontario Historical Society (elected to the board 2012); and, Glengarry Fencibles Trust (2010-pres.), a not-for-profit heritage organization rehabilitating a National Historic Site at St. Raphael’s, Ontario.

JORDON WHEELER

Jordon Wheeler has a passion for entrepreneurship, helping others and civic duty. He believes that giving back to the community and helping one’s neighbor is the key to a lively and vibrant community.

CHARLIE CUFFARI

Charlie Cuffari retired in 2008 following a 35-year career in the Federal Public Service, Charlie continues to be involved in Federal, Provincial and Municipal politics as an active volunteer. As a long-time resident of his current address (40 years). Charlie has seen changes in, and the development of, community and I have a long history of involvement with numerous local charities and community groups.

MENAHEM BLUM

Rabbi Menachem M. Blum has been a respected leader and community building in the social, economic, religious and political field for over 20 years in Ottawa. He is the Executive Director of the Ottawa Torah Centre, a synagogue, social meeting place and school located in West Barrhaven, which offers the Jewish community in South Ottawa a multi-purpose space for holiday events, worship, and education, while also serving as a pillar of community outreach and inter-faith dialogue. Rabbi Blum actively seeks opportunities to help any organization or group in the city that wants to increase Judaic knowledge and commitment to diversity and inclusion. His outreach work includes interfaith dialogue addressing issues of diversity and integration within the Ottawa region in collaboration with the Ottawa Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) and other community institutions. In 2014, Rabbi Blu received the (City of Ottawa) Mayor’s City Builder Award—a civic honor that recognizes individuals who have demonstrated an extraordinary commitment to making Ottawa a better place today and for the future. Rabbi Blum is known for his non-judgmental approach and for his ability to connect and inspire people regardless of their backgrounds and affiliation.

JATINDER CHADHA

Jatinder Chadha is a program manager for the City of Ottawa. His community involvement includes formerly serving as Vice President for the India Canada Association.
