KAREN CHAN
Karen Chan is a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) based in the Greater Toronto Area, with over 20 years of experience in governance, enterprise transformation, and strategic leadership across regulated, technology, and professional services environments. Her career spans senior leadership and advisory roles supporting large-scale organizational change, digital transformation, and complex multi-stakeholder initiatives. She has extensive experience in governance and community leadership across Ontario’s professional, academic, and nonprofit ecosystem, including involvement with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO), the Ontario Society of Professional Engineers (OSPE), academic advisory councils, and STEM-focused nonprofit organizations. Her work emphasizes public-interest leadership, integrity, accountability, and effective governance.
STEVEN DUNLOP
Steven Dunlop is the General Manager - Canada for KGHM International, overseeing all Canadian operations including safety, mining, and environmental functions, with a current focus on the Victoria Project in advanced exploration. He began his career in 1996 with the Ontario Geological Survey and has held various roles in exploration and mining operations for over 30 years, progressing through positions at FNX Mining Company and KGHM, including Chief Mine Geologist and General Manager for Sudbury Operations. Steve actively volunteers with the Ontario Mining Association and other organizations and holds a B.Sc. in Chemistry and Geology from McMaster University and an M.Sc. in Geology from Laurentian University.
