Pay Equity Commission of Ontario - Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal
DAVID ROSS
David Ross is a Vice-Chair at the Ontario Labour Relations Board and is the Chair of the Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal. David obtained his Law degree from the University of Ottawa with distinction and practiced law at Hicks Morley prior to his appointment to the Board.
CAROLINE ROWAN
Caroline Rowan is the Vice Chair of the Ontario Labour Relations Board, and a former Deputy Presiding Officer for Pay Equity Hearings Tribunal. She holds an LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School.
DOUGLAS SANDERSON
Douglas Sanderson was called the Ontario Bar in 1997. Mr. Sanderson has a private workplace dispute resolution practice, providing mediation, adjudication, and investigation services, and he is an External Adjudicator with the Canada Industrial Relations Board. Prior to starting his dispute resolution practice, Mr. Sanderson practiced labour and employment law with Littler LLP. Mr. Sanderson was also a Vice-Chair of the Human Rights Tribunal of Ontario between January 2011 and January 2021.
CARLA ZABEK
Carla Zabek was called to the Ontario Bar in 1991. Her legal practice focuses on labour and employment law, regulatory health professions law and the investigation of workplace complaints as an independent third party. Ms. Zabek also provides mediation and facilitation services. She is a former associate and partner at the law firm of Hicks Morley Hamilton Stewart Storie LLP and associate at Fraser & Beatty. She is a director and Vice-President of the Canadian Chopin Society and volunteers at Safety Net Child Services in Oakville. Carla was· President and Legal Chair of Big Sisters of Canada and a member of the board of directors of Charlton Hall Child and Family Centre in Hamilton. Ms. Zabek is a member of Company of Women and the Halton Lawyers'Association. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree and obtained her LL.B. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 1989.
LORI BOLTON
Lori Bolton has been a member of the Ontario Labour Relations since 2015 and is a Director of Human Resources at the City of Orillia. Her responsibilities include collective bargaining, grievance procedures, pay equity, administration of payroll and human resource policies. Ms. Bolton is the President of the Ontario Municipal Human Resources Association Board of Directors.
TISHA HASAN
Tisha Hasan is a lawyer with Cheadles LLP. Her legal practice involves the areas of family law, child protection and civil litigation. Tisha graduated with her Juris Doctor from the Bora Laskin Faculty of Law. She holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts from the University of Toronto double majoring in Criminology and Equity studies with a focus on disability and critical race theory. Born and raised in Scarborough Ontario, Tisha moved to Thunder Bay to pursue her interests in equity and social justice. She is a passionate advocate of inclusion, community capacity building and promotion of individuals with disabilities. She is a board member of Community Living Thunder Bay, which endeavours to promote the rights and quality of life of persons with intellectual disabilities. In the community Tisha had the pleasure of teaching Human Rights in Employment at Confederation College and is the Chair for the Lakehead University Student’s Union.
PATRICIA GREENSIDE
Patricia Greenside is a full-time member of the WSIAT and has been a part-time member of the PEHT since 2019. Prior to joining WSIAT in 2018 she was a full-time member with the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, adjudicating in both the Refugee Protection Division as well as the Immigration Appeals Division for approximately 8 years. Prior to that she adjudicated at the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Ontario Rental Housing Tribunal, Rent Control and Rent Review Services for approximately 13 years. Patricia currently volunteers weekly at the LSUC Lawyers Feed the Hungry program and previously volunteered for several years at Women's Habitat and has done mission work in Ethiopia.
STEPHEN ROTH
has been a member of the Workplace Safety and Insurance Appeals Tribunal since 2016. He is a self-employed lawyer with Roth Professional Corporation and a member of the Joint Compliance Audit Committee with the Corporation of the City of Stratford. Mr. Roth’s community involvement includes serving as a coach for the Stratford Minor Baseball Association. He is a member of Law Society of Ontario and a member of Society of Ontario Adjudicators and Regulators.
