PAULINE NILES

Pauline Niles has worked in the electrical distribution industry for over 25 years. She completed a 5 years apprenticeship program where she earned her Power Cable Journey Person Certification. She was the Union Workplace Safety and Insurance Representative who focus on safe work practice and accident prevention. Pauline Niles has been involved in a variety of not-for-profit organizations as a professional and volunteer. As the former elected President of the Canadian Union of Public Employees Local One (CUPE, Pauline represented 1250 predominantly skilled trades workers at Toronto Hydro. Pauline was the first women and visible minority person to be elected President of CUPE Local One. Pauline is a Director and Audit committee member at Friday Harbour Resort Association and former director of: Energy Credit Union and Chairperson of Audit Committee Queen West Community Health Centre & Shout Youth Health Clinic Kensington Bellwoods Community Legal Services.
