Grievance Settlement Board

MATTHEW WILSON

Matthew Wilson spent over 8 years as a Vice Chair with the Ontario Labour Relations Board, with the previous 3 years as the Alternate Chair. Prior to this appointment, he was in-house counsel to two large hospital corporations and also was previously the Director of Labour Relations/Solicitor with a large municipality. A graduate of Trent University (B.A. Hons), Matthew earned an M.I.R. from Queen's University, an LL.B. from Western University, and an LL.M. from Osgoode Hall. He is co-author of Evidence and Procedure in Canadian Labour Arbitration and Labour Arbitrations and All That. Matthew maintains a busy private arbitration and mediation practice.

MARILYN NAIRN

Marilyn Nairn was called to the Ontario bar in 1982, she practiced labour law prior to moving to the Ontario Labor Relations Board (OLRB) in 1987. From 1989-1998 Ms. Nairn held an appointment as Vice-Chair of the OLRB. Since 1998 she has conducted a successful arbitration and mediation practice, also holding part-time appointments to both the Grievance Settlement Board and the Public Service Grievance Board. She has chaired various judicial remuneration commissions. Ms. Nairn is a member of the National Academy of Arbitrators and is a past President of the Ontario Labour-Management Arbitrators’ Association.
