Health Unit Board - Timiskaming

CURT ARTHUR

Curtis Arthur is a recently retired senior executive with the Ontario Public Service, Curt had responsibility for Division level direction and justice sector partnerships police and courts. A transformational and inclusive leader, Curt led initiatives envisioning a transformation of Ontario's correctional services, lead work on designing and operating new facilities, created and led the organization responsible for training, operational policy, investigations and recruiting, offender programming, research and evaluation for outcomes. Curt created initiatives related to expanding health care service delivery and oversight, expanded mental health services, offender programming and interventions. Curt served as executive sponsor for Pride in Corrections (LGBTQ) and Nation to Nation affinity groups (Indigenous peoples) and contributed to expanded PTSD legislation.

DAVID LOWE

David Lowe, of New Liskeard, is a former member of the Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada, Refugee Appeals Division, former National Governance Director with the Congress of Aboriginal Peoples, and former Chief Parliamentary Assistant to the Minister of Health, House of Commons. His community involvement has included serving as Board member and Secretary of the Board of the Ontario Coalition of Aboriginal Peoples.

TODD STEIS

Todd Steis, of Temiskaming Shores, is a Consultant and Owner of Temiskaming Mining Products. He is a former Area Manager of the Mechanical Division with Wabi Iron & Steel Corp. His community involvement includes serving as Secretary and past President with O.E. Walli Foundation Inc.

CATHY DWYER

Cathy Dwyer is a recently retired business owner. For 27 years she provided services to seasonal residents on Lake Temagami. Over the years she owned a garden centre, landscaping, construction & propane business. Recently she has been a project, construction manager creating many beautiful island cottages on Lake Temagami. Prior, her career of 22 years was with the Ministry of Natural Resources where she finished as the Environmental & Land Claim Issues Manager. She also worked for the Ontario Native Affairs Secretariat as Assistant Negotiator on the Temagami Land Claim & Garden River First Nation, Highway Expansion. Cathy is versatile & comes with a diverse background & has had an interesting life; she was a Wilderness Guide (winter & summer), a Board Member, Chair & Exec Director of the Temagami Community Foundation, Board Member & Chair of TEMFUND, Manager for Outfitting Company, Location Manager for a movie company, & Deputy Mayor of Temagami. She now resides on Lake Temiskaming.
