Health Unit Board - Renfrew County and District
JOANNE KING
Joanne King has lived and worked in Renfrew County since 1984, serving as Executive Director of Avoca Interval House, the Community Resource Centre (Killaloe) and Barry's Bay and Area Senior Citizens Home Support Services. She has been an active volunteer over the years, with the Renfrew County United Way, Ketcha Star Daycare (Eganville), the Pembroke Regional Hospital, Child Poverty Action Network, and St. Francis Memorial Hospital. Joanne is the mother of two and has two adult grandchildren. She loves gardening, playing music, cooking, and sketching.
JAMES MANION
Jim Manion is a retired School Bus Operator who served the Madawaska Valley Family of Schools for 36 years. He is an officer of J. & V. Manion Inc. which also operated a ladies' retail clothing store in Barry’s Bay called Talk O’ The Town for over 40 years. Jim has served his community in many capacities such as President of the Barry’s Bay Figure 8 Skating Club, organizer, and coach of the Irish Hockey teams for the Heritage Cup, member of Barry’s Bay Recreation Committee, volunteer for Barry’s Bay Triathlon for 20 years along with many other community volunteer commitments. He is a Husband (42 years), Father of three daughters and Grandfather to four.
JOSEPH DU MANOIR
Joseph Michael du Manoir is the Manager of Business Development Operations and Manager of Intellectual Property at Canadian Nuclear Laboratories Ltd. He is the former President and General Manager of du Manoir Holdings Inc. Mr. du Manoir has a Bachelor of Science degree and a Master of Business Administration degree from Queen's University. He also holds a certificate in Alternative Dispute and Conflict Resolution from the Mediation Centre of Southeastern Ontario. Mr. du Manoir is a member of the Special Projects Committee of the Renfrew County Community Futures Development Committee.
HEATHER SAAR
Heather Saar is a lifelong resident of Renfrew County. Heather has had a varied nursing career, having worked in many areas of the County. Heather is a firm believer in quality care provided in a timely way. Having access to services as well as education to what services are best for the individual is a standard of care that should be there for all.
CAROLYN WATT
Carolyn Watt studied Municipal Administration at St. Lawrence College, Kingston. She spent seventeen years as an Executive Assistant to a Federal Member of Parliament and is currently a member of an insurance adjusting firm. Ms. Watt has served a three-year term as a Community Panel Member on the Canada Pension/Old Age Security Review Tribunal Board. Among her accomplishments, she has taught adult literacy and presently volunteers at a seniors' residence.
