Council of the College of Opticians of Ontario

STEPHEN KINSELLA

Stephen Kinsella has been involved in the area of law enforcement for over 30 years; as a police officer, prosecutor, college professor and manager of municipal law enforcement. He has sat on various boards including Vice-President and Director of the Education and Municipal Law Enforcement Association of Ontario. Currently, Mr. Kinsella sits on the Barrie Simcoe Muskoka Criminal Youth Justice Committee (since 2000), is Chair of Barrie Property Standards Appeal Committee, and is Vice-Chair of the Barrie Business Licence Appeal Committee and the Council Remuneration Committee. Mr. Kinsella is a certified Municipal Manager III, has been a member of management teams of municipal governments and has worked with councils and local courts. Stephen is the Chair of the Ontario College of Opticians of Ontario and a provincial appointee.

ALICIA MUNIAN

Alicia Munian is a Senior IT Program Manager for Samuel Son & Company, and a former Strategic Program Manager for Hewlett Packard Enterprise. Alicia’s community involvement includes formerly serving as a volunteer for Santa Claus Fund.

OMAR FAROUK

Omar Farouk previously served as Chair of the Employment Insurance Board of Referees and as a member of the Council of the College of Nurses of Ontario. In addition to these previous positions, he oversees a food bank that delivers over 200 meals to people in need. He is also a marriage counsellor, a community advisor and holds a certificate from York University in Conflict and Dispute Resolution.

CARLO SICOLI

Carlo Sicoli, of Oakville, is Director of Business Development and Partnerships at York University. He is also a former Director of Client Delivery at IsaiX. His community involvement includes serving as a Coach for the Oakville Soccer Club.

MARK PRIDDLE

Mark Priddle resides in Almonte, Ontario, about 50 km west of Ottawa. Presently, he works part-time for a multinational engineering firm where he practices environmental geoscience. Since 1992, he has been working in the field of environmental consulting. Prior to this, Mark worked for two federal departments (Health and Environment). His educational background is in chemistry, civil engineering, and geoscience. He has been a professional geoscientist since 2002. Over the past 23 years, Mark has been a volunteer with Professional Geoscientists Ontario and Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Alberta, including a term as President of Professional Geoscientists Ontario. Over the years, He has served on boards and coached sports for a number of organizations in the communities that he has lived in.
