Appointee Biographies

JIM DALEY

graduated from the University of Waterloo in 1979 with a degree in Honours Co-op Geography. Later that year he joined the Bank of Montreal. After a brief period in retail Branch Management he moved into Commercial Banking. Mr. Daley served in a number of Commercial Banking roles in several markets in Southern Ontario. He retired from BMO in November 2014 as the Senior Manager of Commercial Banking Support. Mr. Daley earned the CMA designation in 1990 and received the Fellowship (FCMA) in 2014. He also holds the Chartered Director (C.Dir) designation (2015) and The Audit Committee Certified (A.C.C.) designation (2013).

ALLAN KATZ

Allan Katz lives in Kingston and is a public appointee to the College of Chiropodists of Ontario and currently serves as Chair of the Stroke Network of Southeastern Ontario. He previously served as the Chair of Shared Support Services Southeastern Ontario and 1st Vice-Chair of Ontario 211 Services. Fluently bilingual (English/French), he is the principal of KatzHealth.ca - an independent health system planning consultancy. Allan has held senior health system leadership roles at Riverside Health Care (Fort Frances, Emo, and Rainy River); the South East Community Care Access Centre; the Health Care Network of Southeastern Ontario; the Deep River and District Hospital; Northeastern Ontario Regional Cancer Centre; and the Muskoka/Parry Sound District Health Councils.

GURANSH BRAR

Guransh Brar, of London, is a former Residence Don at University of Western Ontario Housing and a former Avian Influenza Emergency Relief Team member for the Government of Canada. Guransh’s community involvement includes serving as Co-Founder and Head of Outreach for Beeling Tutoring.

SUKHWINDER PAL SINGH

Sukhwinder Pal Singh, of Brampton, is former Dispatch Manager at Rhythem Transport Inc. He is also a former Agency Manager at Max New York Life Insurance company Ltd and a former Relations Manager at ICICI Security Limited in India.

Itraf Ahmad is an accomplished professional with over 25 years of experience in IT consulting, entrepreneurship, real estate investments and volunteering. Specializing in Business Managment application development, offshore development, and outsourcing, Itraf has helped businesses optimize technology and operations. He has significant expertise in the IT and Real Estate industry and has managed successful import and export operations across Indonesia, China, Pakistan, and Canada. As a seasoned real estate investor, Itraf has a keen eye for profitable property opportunities. His broad expertise in business solutions management allows him to drive growth and efficiency across diverse sectors. He immigrated to Canada in 2009, since then he has been involved in volunteering for the community. He has also been involved in helping and guiding new immigrants for their settlement.
