Technical Standards and Safety Authority

ROBERT FALCONI

RJ Falconi is Managing Director of RayleeValleyGroup focusing on legal, governance and consumer/product/public/rail safety issues. Mr. Falconi is currently board Chair of the Technical Standards and Safety Authority, a Commissioner on the Ontario Northland Transportation Commission, board member of Tarion Warranty Corporation, a member of the Ontario Advisory Board of Canadian Manufacturers & Exporters Inc., and a board member of the York Durham Heritage Railway Association. Formerly, he was Executive Vice President, Chief Legal & Government Affairs Officer, General Counsel & Corporate Secretary at Canadian Standards Association, Vice President, General Counsel & Assistant Corporate Secretary for Parsons Corporation and Legal Counsel at Citibank Canada. Mr. Falconi has a B.Sc. degree from the University of Toronto, a J.D. (LL.B.) from Osgoode Hall Law School, was called to the Ontario Bar in 1985, holds an ICD.D. designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors and is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian, Ontario, American and International Bar Associations, and the US-based National Association of Corporate Directors. He was born and raised in North Bay, ON, and currently resides in Bradford, ON.

GEORGE NIKOLOV

George Nikolov brings over two decades of corporate and not-for-profit board experience, with proven expertise in governance, strategy, IT, cybersecurity, risk oversight, financial performance, and CEO evaluation. Known for his collaborative leadership, he is a trusted change agent in times of transition, transformation, and turnaround.

MICHAEL BURJAW

Michael Burjaw is an experienced professional with a diverse background in both public and private sectors. His public service includes roles such as Project Manager for the Vendor Performance Management Program and Senior Procurement Specialist at the City of Hamilton, where he led strategic initiatives to enhance procurement practices. In the private sector, Michael held national account sales positions at CaTECH Systems and Canon Canada, focusing on business solutions and IT infrastructure. His career reflects a strong commitment to operational excellence, vendor management, and cross-sector collaboration.

GEORGE NIKOLOV

Having served more than 20 years in corporate and not-for-profit boardrooms, George Nikolov developed and sharpened his core competencies in corporate and regulatory governance, business strategy, IT, cybersecurity, risk oversight, financial performance, CEO performance management. His well-honed, collaborative leadership skills have made him an invaluable change agent for organizations working through transitions, transformations, or turnarounds.

JAMES WEBB

James Webb attended Western Michigan University, where he studied Manufacturing Engineering Technology. He has spent his entire career with Anderson-Webb Limited and is a member of the ownership group. Over the course of his career in the boiler and pressure vessel field, Mr. Webb has progressed from inspector to manager, gaining extensive experience with the Technical Standards and Safety Authority (TSSA) regulations and their application within the province of Ontario. Since 2018, he has served as a member of the TSSA Boiler and Pressure Vessel Committee, representing the Mechanical Contractors Association of Ontario. Outside of his professional responsibilities, Mr. Webb enjoys coaching hockey and baseball.
