ARJAN ARENJA

Arjan Arenja is an experienced board governance professional with a strong background in large-scale construction projects, power sector, manufacturing, consulting engineering, and regulatory bodies. He is equipped with proven management and analytical skills and excels in board governance through attentive listening, effective collaboration, and informed decision-making. His unique perspective as a political refugee enhances boardroom discussions. Arjan is fluent in English, French, Persian, Hindi, and Kandahari. He is a people-focused, consensus-builder, results-oriented, and high-energy leader, ready to contribute to the EC governance task force.

CARLA NELL

Carla Y. Nell is currently Executive Vice-President, Corporation Relations, Engagement and Strategy at the Independent Electricity System Operator (IESO) and is responsible for providing strategic leadership in the areas of corporate communications, stakeholder, and community engagement (both municipal and Indigenous), government affairs, corporate strategy, and managing and enhancing all relationships on behalf of the IESO. Ms. Nell has extensive senior leadership and operational experience within the private, public and not-for-profit sectors. Her expertise includes development of comprehensive engagement and advocacy strategies, overseeing initiatives to ensure a robust and responsive customer experience, and fostering transparency and mutual accountability with internal and external audiences to transform relationships into true partnerships. Ms. Nell holds an Honours Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Ottawa and completed her Masters degree at Western University.
