Municipal Property Assessment Corporation

JON OLINSKI

Mr. Jon Olinski is a professor and the Program Coordinator for the Public Administration program with Seneca College’s School of Legal, Public & Office Administration. Prior to moving to teaching on a full-time basis. Mr. Olinski held progressively more responsible positions as a public affair and a human resources professional within the postsecondary education sector over his 22-year career. Mr. Olinski is also actively involved in his community currently serving as Chair of the Board of Directors for Luminus Financial Credit Union. He previously served as a Director and Vice Chair of the Richmond Hill Chamber of Commerce and as a Director for the Town and Gown Association of Ontario. He holds an MBA from Angila Ruskin University and is also a graduate of Conestoga College’s Business Administration-Management Studies and Human Resources Management program. He also is a graduate from the Institute of Corporate Directors program and holds the ICD.D designation. In addition he is also certificated by the Canadian Institute of Management and holds the C.I.M., P.Mgr and C.Mgr designations.

ALAN SPACEK

Mr. Spacek built his career as a respected entrepreneur, owning and operating a number of businesses, and continues to serve as an active member of the Canadian Professional Sales Association (CPSA). Mr. Spacek was elected Mayor of Kapuskasing in 2006 and was acclaimed for two more terms, retiring in December 2018. During his time as Mayor, he was a member of the Federation of Northern Ontario Municipalities for twelve years, serving as President for eight years until August 2018. He has served on numerous boards and executives including Kapuskasing and District Chamber of Commerce, Northeastern Ontario Municipal Association (NOMA) and the Association of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO).

NIELS CHRISTENSEN

Mr. Christensen is the Managing Director and Broker of the Christensen Real Estate Group and has over 30 years of experience in the real estate industry specializing in residential real estate in Toronto. He is a licensed Broker, Certified Luxury Home Marketing Specialist, International Real Estate Specialist, and Certified Negotiation Expert. A former police officer with the Toronto Police Services, he also previously held the position of Senior Manager of Investigations - Enforcement Branch at the Ontario Securities Commission. He has served on the Arbitration Committee at the Toronto Real Estate Board (TREB) and as past Vice Chair of the Discipline Committee at the Real Estate Council of Ontario (RECO). An active volunteer in his community, Mr. Christensen was the Chairperson of the Toronto Police 22 Division Community Police Liaison Committee, President of the Humber Valley Village Residents Association, and a member of The Hospital for Sick Children’s Circle of Care

DEREK VANSTONE

Derek is legal, compliance, regulatory affairs and government relations professional who works with the Canadian multinational engineering consultancy Hatch. Prior to his current role, Derek spent years as a commercial litigator where he appeared before all levels of Ontario courts, and he remains a licensed lawyer. He then spent several years in the Canadian federal government serving as the Chief of Staff to Finance Minister Jim Flaherty and Deputy Chief of Staff to Prime Minister Stephen Harper before joining Air Canada as Vice-President, Corporate Strategy, Industry and Government Affairs. He resides in Toronto, and he holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Bachelor of Laws from the University of Saskatchewan.

DELIA REICHE

Municipal Representative, Delia Reiche is currently the Development Liaison for the County of Brant, Mrs. Reiche is a past Deputy Mayor of Thames Centre and Middlesex County Councillor. Past President of the Economic Developer Council of Ontario (EDCO), former Board member of the Rural Ontario Municipal Association (ROMA), and Associations of Municipalities of Ontario (AMO). Mrs. Reiche is among a select group of people in Canada to have obtained the Economic Development Fellowship designation, the highest level of economic development certification in the country. She is one of the 2019 Honourees of the Women of Influence in Local Government Award by Municipal World Magazine. Mrs. Reiche is a graduate from the University of Waterloo and teaches part-time at Ryerson University.

RAYMOND KINDIAK

Ray Kindiak is a lawyer and corporate finance professional with over 30 years of capital markets, operational and legal experience in corporate restructuring, financings, mergers, and acquisitions. He has executed financing mandates in numerous industry sectors including technology, real estate, manufacturing, resources, pharmaceutical and hospitality. Ray has served as a Commissioner and Board member of the Ontario Securities Commission and as Board member of several not-for-profit organizations including the Diversity Canada Foundation. He is currently a Board member of the Municipal Property Assessment Corporation, the Private Capital Markets Association of Canada, and the Condominium Authority of Ontario. Ray holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) degree and a Bachelor of Laws degree from the University of Windsor, along with the ICD.D designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors. Ray is a member of the Law Society of Ontario and the Canadian Bar Association.

JOHN PARADIS

Mr. Paradis possesses 36 years of professional experience and is currently a Deputy City Manager with the City of London, Ontario, responsible for the Enterprise Supports Service Area; a portfolio that includes the Human Rights Division, Human Resources Division, Information Technology Services Division, Emergency Management and Security Services Division, and the Service London Contact Centre. Prior to this position, Mr. Paradis was the Fire Chief for the City of Stratford, Ontario, and a Military Officer with the Canadian Armed Forces. Mr. Paradis holds an MBA from Royal Roads University, completed the Leading Sustainable Corporations Program with the University of Oxford, Negotiation Master Class Program with Harvard Law School, and a certified Community Emergency Management Coordinator with the Province of Ontario.

CHRIS MURRAY

Chris Murray, of Hamilton, is a Special Advisor at Housing Infrastructure Communities Canada and a Contract Consultant at Deloitte Canada. His community involvement includes serving as a Municipal Expert for the University of Toronto School of Cities.
