Council of Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario

FRANCES KORDYBACK

Frances Kordyback serves as member (part-time) for the Ontario Securities Commission- Board of Directors, and former Managing Director for Northwater Capital Management Inc. and CCFL Parklea. His community involvement includes serving as Advisor of Women in Leadership for Women in Capital Markets.

BRYAN DAVIES

Bryan Davies serves as Vice-Chair (part-time) for Metrolinx, is former Chairman of Financial Services Regulatory and Canada Deposit Insurance Corporation, a former Chief Executive Officer/Superintendent for the Financial Services Commission of Ontario, and a former Deputy Treasurer and Deputy Minister of Economic for the Government of Ontario. His community involvement includes volunteering with the Ditchley Foundation Canadian Advisory Board.

CHRISTINA LEE-ROTSTEIN

Christina Lee-Rotstein is an independent market research consultant who specializes in providing insights to a variety of industries, including insurance and wealth management. She previously worked at TNS, a Global research agency, and led the research team at Aviva Canada. Ms. Lee-Rotstein’s community involvement includes serving as the President and Board Chair for the Howard Park Children’s Centre. She holds a Bachelor of Arts from Wilfrid Laurier University and a Master of Arts from Queen’s University. She is also a Certified Insurance Professional (CIP).

KAROL PAWLINA

Karol Pawlina is a Toronto based business and intellectual property lawyer. Karol received his Juris Doctor from Osgoode Hall Law School and was called to the Ontario Bar in 2016 as a Barrister and Solicitor. He is a Registered Trademark Agent in Canada. Right after being called to the Bar, he started his own firm. Prior to attending law school. he completed an Honors Bachelor of Engineering in Biomedical Engineering at Ryerson University, where he graduated with distinction.

DIANE SCOTT

Diane Scott, of Whitby, is the co-founder and partner of SX2 Ventures, a global venture capital focusing on life sciences. Currently, group chairman and CEO with JMCC Canada Corp., and is a member of the Council of the Registered Insurance Brokers of Ontario. Ms. Scoot’s community involvement includes ongoingly supporting Albion Neighborhood Services through fundraising.

ANNA MASCIERI-BOUDRIA

Anna Mascieri-Boudria, of Orleans, is a Discipline Adjudicator for the Law Society of Ontario and a Mediator/Adjudicator for the Condominium Authority Tribunal. She is also a former Paralegal for the Department of Justice and a former Discipline Paralegal for the Royal Canadian Mounted Police.

JOSEPHINE ATRI

Josephine Atri has Bachelor of Arts, Master of Arts and Bachelor of Laws degrees, and the Osgoode Hall-SOAR Certificate in Adjudication for Administrative Agencies, Boards and Tribunals. She was called to the Ontario Bar in 1989 and practiced law for 30 years. For many years, she was Senior Counsel to the Ontario Ministry of Finance. She was also counsel at Cabinet Office, other ministries and the Financial Services Commission of Ontario prior to that. She specialized in the regulation of insurance and financial services and establishing regulatory agencies, tribunals and other bodies. She has extensive experience in developing legislative and regulatory amendments, coordinating government bills and related instruments and briefing and advising senior management, Ministers and Opposition Members. She has appeared before various Committees of Cabinet and of the Legislature, and in every Ontario Court level.

HEATHER KENNY

Heather Kenny, of Bowmanville, is a Registered Acupuncturist at Oshawa South Chiropractic Clinic and Stone RMT. She is also former part-time member and Adjudicator for the Assessment Review Board and Landlord and Tenant Board. Her community involvement includes serving as President of Traditional Chinese Medicine Ontario.

SONIA GAAL

Sonia Gaal is a retired lawyer whose main area of practice was labour and administrative law. She worked for the City of Edmonton and represented the Government of Alberta in labour arbitrations. Ms. Gaal has extensive experience in adjudication as a member of the Alberta Labor Relations Board and the Canada Industrial Relations Board. She was Vice Chair of the Public Service Staffing Tribunal and Vice Chair of the Military Grievances External Review Committee. She was also Director of Human Resources for the Conseil des écoles publiques de l’Est de l’Ontario in Ottawa. Her community involvement includes being a member of the French Languages Services Advisory Committee for the City of Ottawa and she volunteers as a judge for the Laskin, a bilingual moot court competition in administrative and constitutional law. She holds a civil law degree from the Université de Montréal, a Post Graduate Diploma in Labour Law from the University of Alberta and an MBA from Athabasca University.

CAMILLE CLYNE

Camille Clyne has a diverse background that includes several current and former public appointments within the Ontario Public Service, including the Landlord and Tenant Board, the Health Professions Appeal and Review Board, and the Health Services Appeal and Review Board. She also brings consulting experience and a strong foundation in the insurance industry through her work with TD Insurance and Intact Insurance. Throughout her career, Camille has remained actively engaged in both professional and community life, demonstrating a particular passion for dispute resolution and collaborative problem-solving. Her commitment to community involvement is evident in her ongoing participation in initiatives that promote children’s education and the mentorship of young adults.

KARINA VILNER

Karina Vilner is former Legal Counsel, Director of Strategic Sourcing for Alzheimer Society of Ontario. She holds a Juris Doctor degree from Osgoode Hall Law School at York University, and an Honours Bachelor of Science with Distinction from the University of Toronto.

JIM HUANG

Jim Huang, CFA CPA, is a seasoned investment professional and entrepreneur with over 30-years of experience. Jim has worked with many institutions, large and small, and founded multiple new enterprises. Currently he is involved in the compliance and adjudication efforts with various regulatory bodies, both in Canada and globally. A long-time resident of Toronto, Jim prides himself in giving back to the professions and active volunteering in the community. He is a graduate from the University of Toronto with a Bachelor of Commerce (High Distinction).
