Appointee Biographies

Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission


Amy Cronin is the past chair of Swine Health Ontario, chair of the Banff Pork Seminar Advisory Board, and is vice chair for the University of Saskatchewan’s Vaccine and Infectious Disease Organization-International Vaccine Centre. She currently represents the province of Ontario on NPAC, advising government on business risk management programs. She has been involved extensively in agricultural leadership, including an eight-year contribution to the Ontario Pork Board of Directors, serving as chair for five years and co-chairing the Ag Growth Steering Committee for the Minister of Agriculture in 2016. She is a graduate of both AALP and CTEAM programs.


Valerie Gilvesy has been a member of the Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission since 2016. She has worked in the agricultural industry as a Member Service Representative with the Ontario Federation of Agriculture, a Service and Inspection Representative with the Chicken Farmers of Ontario, and as a Member Relations Manager with the Grain Farmers of Ontario. She was instrumental in the development and implementation of the acclaimed "Grains in Action" program. Ms. Gilvesy graduated from Trent University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology, and is a graduate of the Advanced Agricultural Leadership Program, Class 3.


Dan Cohoe has over 45 years' experience in the Ontario agriculture industry. His career in agriculture has extended from livestock-farm production, through agricultural sales, meat industry procurement management, and specialty meat production and marketing system development. Currently working with Titan Trailers Inc. in the field of low stress livestock transportation. Mr. Cohoe was a founding member of the Ontario Pork Industry Council and, along with a strong background in farm production, developed procurement systems as Director of Producer and Industry Relations for Quality Meat Packers. He is a graduate of the Ivey School of Business.


Cameron McWilliam is the Mayor of Dutton/Dunwich. He is also a Farmer of turkey, beef cattle and cash crop. Community involvement includes various fundraising and volunteer positions for organizations including Dutton Highland Games Committee, St.Thomas-Elgin General Hospital and member of Community School Alliance. He has a Bachelor of Agriculture Science with a major in Animal & Poultry Science from University of Guelph.


Ralph Dietrich is currently the Owner and Partner of Character Dairy Genetics. He is a former Chair of the Dairy Farmers of Ontario. Mr. Dietrich's community involvement includes participating with the Agricultural Society, the Church, local schools and 4-H. He attended the University of Guelph for Advanced Agricultural Leadership.


Rob Anderson has been a Commission member for Ontario Farm Products Marketing Commission since 2015. Rob is a current Vice President of the Ontario, Alberta and USA Operations for Bonduelle North America, a current board director of Food and Beverage Ontario and a current Chair of the U.S. Mid-West Food Producers Association. He is a former President of the Alliance of Ontario Food Processors and Ontario Fruit and Vegetable Processors Association.
