Function

The core purpose of a child welfare agency is to promote the best interests, protection, and well-being of children and youth, and to protect children from abuse, neglect, and harm. Under Ontario's Child, Youth and Family Services Act (CYFSA), children's aid societies are mandated to investigate allegations of child maltreatment, assess risk, support families, and, when necessary, provide protection and alternative care for children who cannot remain safely at home.

Membership

The society is a member of the Ontario Association of Children's Aid Societies (OACAS)
