The Skilled Trades Special Advisor will provide advice and recommendations to the Minister of Labour, Immigration, Training and Skills Development (MLITSD) on matters related to how to modernize Ontario’s skilled trades system, including around how to respond to the manufacturing and automotive industries, including EV and fill labour market shortages in in-demand trades. This work will focus on:
• Manufacturing, including the automotive and electric vehicle industries
• Eastern, Rural and Northern Ontario.- Membership

The Skilled Trades Special Advisor (STSA) shall be appointed at pleasure for a term up to April 30, 2026
- Remuneration
$1000 per diem, up to a maximum of $234,000 per (full) year
