Function

The Committee  will make recommendations focusing on three pillars:
1. Economic Recovery
2. Strengthening Ontario’s Competitiveness
3. Supporting Workers

 

Membership

The Lieutenant Governor in Council shall appoint seven members and designate one member as Chair. 

Qualifications

General qualifications could include demonstrated experience in making complex decisions and working in multi-disciplinary and collaborative environments, interpreting legislative and regulatory frameworks or policies, and demonstrated analytical, conceptual, problem-solving and writing skills. Member experience could also include academic or other specific experience in designing training for high-skilled workers that is responsive to industry.  The members will be representatives of business and workers across a broad range industries. Members would also be selected to broadly represent a range of sectors, backgrounds, and perspectives (e.g. academic, manufacturing, technology).

Term

Members shall be appointed at pleasure for terms not exceeding nine months.

Remuneration

Each member shall be remunerated at the rate of $398 per day, up to a maximum of 100 days.
