Function

The Forestry Futures Committee oversees the use of funds from the Forestry Futures Trust by issuing calls for proposals, reviewing proposals and approving projects to be funded under the Trust.  The Forestry Futures Committee operates under the terms of the Crown Forest Sustainability Act. 

Membership

The committee is composed of such number of members as may be appointed by the Minister, one of whom is designated by the Minister as the chair.

Term

The members are appointed for a term of office at the pleasure of the Minister.

Meetings

The Forestry Futures Committee meets at least once a month.

Remuneration

Appointees are remunerated according to Schedule A, Level 2 of the Agencies and Appointments Directive.
