Function

Grant Review Teams are advisory committees to the Board of Directors of the Ontario Trillium Foundation. They ensure effective outreach and communications regarding the funding programs and review grant applications within the guidelines provided by Trillium.

Membership

The chair and members are appointed by Ministerial Letter. The number of members appointed will generally be between eighteen and twenty-four members from the Grant Review Team area.

Term

Members are appointed for one, two or three year terms and are eligible for reappointment to a maximum of three terms.

Meetings

Given the nature of the work, team members typically devote on average 15 to 40 hours over a four-month granting cycle to activities ranging from the reading of documents to team meetings. GRTs will generally meet three to six times per year for a half-day or full-day meeting. Meetings may be held via teleconference calls, though most tend to be held in person. Some travel is required.

Remuneration

Appointees are eligible to receive expenses.
