Function:  The board of directors of the Ontario Mortgage Corporation (OMC) is responsible for supervising the management of the affairs of the corporation. OMC is responsible for the administration of the forgivable loans programs and holds mortgages jointly with CMHC under the H.O.M.E. program. OMC receives monthly payments from these CMHC administered loans. The board complies with the written directions of the minister or the Lieutenant Governor in Council, and gives advice and recommendations on OMC affairs to the minister as required.

Membership:  The minister controls and directs policy by selecting the members of the board and a vice-chair. The deputy minister of the Ministry of Municipal Affairs and Housing is the chair and president. The minister is responsible for maintaining sufficient appointments to the board to maintain its efficient operation.

Term:  There is no limitation in legislation.

Meetings:  The board meets as required, usually once a month, at 777 Bay Street, Toronto.
