Livestock Financial Protection Board

JENNIFER HALEY

Jennifer Haley is the Executive Director of Veal Farmers of Ontario, a position she has held since 1998. As well, Ms. Haley administers the Canadian Veal Association and represents the veal cattle sector on several committees. Ms. Haley earned her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree and her Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Guelph. She holds the designation of Certified Association Executive (CAE) from the Canadian Society of Association Executives. Ms. Haley has served her community in a number of volunteer positions including school, minor sports, Girl Guides of Canada, and most recently with the County of Brant Police Services Board.

DON GORDON

Don Gordon is self-employed. His community involvement includes formerly serving as a leader for 4-H Ontario.

DAPHNE NUYS-HALL

Daphne Nuys-Hall, of Cambridge, is a Technical Director for Meat & Poultry Ontario and the former Manager of Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs for Delft Blue. Daphne is the Past Chair of the Canadian Meat Council Technical Advisory Group.

HOWARD GREIG

Howard Greig is a Manager and Auctioneer at Keady Livestock Market. He is a former Councilor and Mayor for the Township of Chatsworth. His community involvement includes serving as a member for Keady Community Club and member and Chair of Stewards for Keady United Church.

BLAIR WILLIAMSON

Blair Williamson is a graduate of the University of Guelph Ridgetown Campus and Fanshawe College Business Insurance program. He owns and operates a 50 head purebred cow/calf operation in Lambton Shores, ON. He also works for Lambton Mutual Insurance Co. in the underwriting department. His community involvement has included: Board member Lambton Federation of Agriculture, Lambton Cattlemen’s Association, 4H Leader, Policy Advisory Councillor for OFA and Advisory Councillor for BFO.

CINDY FERRARO

Cindy Ferraro is the CEO and owner of Ontario Stockyards Inc., a stockyard in Cookstown Ontario. Cindy is also the CAO of Brussels Livestock, a stockyard in Brussels Ontario. Both businesses are members of OLAMA (Ontario Livestock Auction Market Association), LMAC (Livestock Market Association of Canada) and OLDA (Ontario Livestock Dealer Association). Brussels Livestock hosts an annual 4H Show and Sale. Cindy's family owns and operates a cow/calf operation consisting of 300 commercial cows and 50 purebred cows.

AMANDA HAMMELL

Amanda Hammel, earned a Bachelor of Commercial in Agricultural Business with Honors at the University of Guelph, and built the foundation for a career in Ontario Agriculture. Amanda is the currently the Director of Commercial Financial Services specializing in Agriculture and has spent the better part of 20 years with RBC working on developing solutions to help her farm clients achieve their business and financial objections. Community involvement is in part of her DNA and has played an active role in various agriculture committees and boards. Amanda and her husband Steve along with their 3 daughters Madison, Hailey & Ava currently own and operate a dairy farm and small Angus seed stock business near Tara, ON, the heart of Bruce County.
